Flock cameras increase government surveillance and expand unregulated corporate power. The situation is so bad that the State of RI has issued a pause on the installation of new Flock cameras, and our neighbors across RI and MA have begun to ditch these questionably-legal surveillance devices altogether. For the sake of our safety and right to privacy, it's time Woonsocket follow suit!

That's why we're calling on the Woonsocket City Council to end our city's relationship with the Flock corporation, and remove these dangerous cameras from our streets. Please sign this petition to join our call!

The Lunches in the Park program has finished for this year, and it was a huge success thanks to everyone who donated and volunteered. Because of our community, we were able to make and distribute nearly 300 lunches to Woonsocket families in the last few weeks! Congressman Gabe Amo even came by to check out the program, and thank The Milagros Project, Rebuild Woonsocket Community Movement, and Engage North Smithfield! for what we were doing. It was great to chat with him and his team about the work in Woonsocket, and about how our community shows up every single time.

We are so grateful for everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported in other ways. We are the movement!

We're so excited about this partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island and the Nonviolence Institute. Woonsocket's youth (and every resident!) deserve to be wrapped in supportive, beloved community, and for the issues of violence and harm that we face to be addressed at the root. Huge props to everyone whose tireless work over the years has led to this important day (Love you Bonnie!)

As temperatures (and energy bills) soar, it's as important as ever that we get off fossil fuels fast, and in a way that is fair for residents and workers. That's why we've been working with a research team at Brown this Spring to price the just transition - creating public input opportunities that will turn into state policy proposals to decarbonize Rhode Island's buildings.
