And by popular demand… the BOAT PARADE is returning! Decorate your boat, gather your crew, and join us on the water for an afternoon of fun, music, and community spirit as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary together. 🇺🇸

According to my sources, today is the official "ice out" date on Fence Lake. Our lucky winner, who was the only one to pick today as the date, is Sue Felbinger. Sue, please contact Sandy Bolger to claim your prize. Hopefully Spring is here to stay!

Opportunity to learn about the black bears in our backyards!

Living alongside the Northwoods’ largest carnivore 🐻

Join us on April 25 at Minocqua Winter Park for an engaging presentation from the Wisconsin DNR all about black bears, how they live, how to stay safe, and how we can coexist.

📍 Location: Minocqua Winter Park (Tower House, weather permitting)

PART-TIME JOBS AVAILABLE!
Friends of Fence Lake is seeking paid, part-time, Boat Landing Boat Inspectors for the upcoming 2026 boating season!
--18 and 20 hour per week shifts available at $17 per hour.
--Applicants need to be 17 or older as of May 1st, and completed Junior year of High School.
--Be available to work all weekends and holidays this summer.
--Must be physically able to inspect watercraft and trailers for invasive species.
--Attend 2 hours of paid training for certification.

Fence Lake Friends — Are you a 2026 member yet?
If you either own real estate or live (renters) on or within a mile of Fence Lake for at least one month in the past year, we invite you to join or renew your Friends of Fence Lake membership for 2026!
Membership helps fund important lake conservation programs like Clean Boats Clean Water, which protects our lake from aquatic invasive species by manning boat landing inspectors. Membership also helps us share important lake updates with property owners and guests.
A healthy lake takes a community. Your membership helps keep Fence Lake beautiful for everyone who loves it. WE NEED YOU!
