Now that we have announced the letter writing is complete. We are getting a lot of parents contacting us to let us know their children didn't get a letter back.

Many of these parents either dropped the letters off at Breakfast with Santa at the Ute Pass Cultural Center, or they dropped them off in the mail, not using our PO Box address. The USPS has their own Santa letter program now and it is a National Program. The only way they get a letter back is if someone sponsors that child on their website. We don't know anything about the UPCC's program.

We did our best to advertise the 8 drop off locations and our PO Box address. Some didn't receive their letters, because Santa got them too late, and those are the letters he just finished.

We suggest you have your young ones write to Santa before 5 December each year, in order to ensure they get their letters before Christmas. Also, we did have 5 letters with addresses that didn't exist or no information.

Santa is saddened that some children expected to received letters this year and didn't. He requests that the adults double check those letters and where they are dropped off. We will always have our locations listed on our page all year long!

Thank you!

Santa has just finished writing to all the people who wrote to him (including 5 adults). 175 + letters were written this year, with 5 that he could not respond to, due to missing information. The most requested toy this year is Labubu. Some of the old favorites were still popular, like Lego, trucks, dolls and sports gear.

The most unique gift request was tuning forks. Children asked a lot of the same questions, and some remembered the elves and reindeer in their letters.

This year, Santa was quite concerned because he had about 10 rude letters this year from young people. Some were outright mean and nasty. Others were a little more passive aggressively rude. Santa wrote back to them, in a way that only he can.

Many other letters were asking for Santa to help or to bring gifts for siblings, parents and others. That warmed his heart. Lots of artwork. Yes, we will be posting. We have a lot of scanning to do.

A huge shout out to the elves on Facebook for helping us to connect to the adults. We would also like to recognize and thank the following people/organizations who helped, donated, had drop boxes, or delivered letters this year:

Deb Rocco, Woodland Park Police Department, Hardcastle Home Services, City of Woodland Park Government, Community Partnership Family Resource Center, Divide Library, Teller County Sheriff's Office, Florissant Grange, Florissant, Colorado, City of Cripple Creek and Bill & Cyndi Sipes.

Without the help of everyone, we couldn't have done this. I am sure the children and the adults are thankful too. Have a Happy New Year, and look for the artwork soon!

Does Santa Hate the Grinch?

This year Santa has received a few letters asking about Santa hating the Grinch. Whether from TV, parents, or seeing pranks at events where Santa and the Grinch don't get along is sending the wrong message. Santa has responded to the question to those who asked in the following way. (we hope you will help support his response).

"Do I hate the Grinch? First off, I do not hate anyone. Everyone on the planet has a set of challenges that are solely theirs. The Grinch’s challenge is how to allow people to enjoy themselves, without feeling like he is missing out. His story is one of jealousy and envy, and probably why he is green. Because the Grinch struggles to find his own happiness, he likes to try and take away other people’s happiness, so he doesn’t feel bad all by himself. There are a lot of people who act like this too. They like to bully or make fun of people, because they have a hard time seeing others happy when they are not.

I don’t always like the Grinch’s choices. However, I feel sorry for him. I want him to be able to have his own happiness without trying to take it away from someone else. He has his moments though. I think over time, he will learn that it’s okay to let others be happy and have things he doesn’t, and still be happy with what he has. I consider the Grinch a distant friend."

Santa is so busy catching up on all the letters before he has to head out on Christmas Eve.

However, he wanted to give a shout out to the class at Merit Academy who all wrote to him. He was so happy to see that their teacher was showing them how to write and address a letter. He is also very impressed with the coloring and some of the penmanship!

What a great idea! Hopefully next year, they will do their letter writing in November 😏

To the class, your letters from Santa are being mailed today! Look for them at the beginning of next week!!

Teller County Letter Writers:

Santa received so many letters at the end of last week and the beginning of this week. It would seem you all waited until the deadline to get your letters in.

Santa promises each letter that has a name and correct mailing address will get a letter back. Some may not receive their letter until after Christmas.

Santa is so busy writing letters, he hasn't been able to scan the artwork and share it. He will once every letter has been responded to.

He says he still has two letters from earlier, that we posted, that have not been claimed. We haven't been able to find the adults for those children. If your young person wrote to Santa and does not get a letter back by 2 January 2026, please contact us here.

Thank you for your patience!!!
