The WFFAA Annual Scholarship application period is now open!

First, the entire application process is online via our WFFAA site. Applicants may apply and attach their documentation at Apply – Woodbury Firefighters Alumni Association before the July 15, 2026 deadline. Award winners will be announced on July 31. You may also find our past scholarship winners on the site and more information about the scholarship program.

Second, due to the continued generosity of our donors and sponsors, the WFFAA is awarding up to three separate scholarships, in the amount of $850 each, to support individuals within our community pursuing a post-secondary education in medical, or emergency services.
We began this scholarship program in 2016, with a single award of $500, and now commit up to $2,550 in awards for 2026. We are able to do this through various fundraising efforts throughout the year, including our bowling and golf tournaments. We want to thank our sponsors and donors for investing in the WFFAA, and allowing us to continue investing in the future of public safety.

Good luck and please feel free to contact us with any questions,

Way to go Brad!

Congratulations to our colleague Brad Estochen, the Ramsey County Engineer for receiving the national David P. Brand Safety Award!
Brad was presented with this prestigious honor at the National County Engineers Conference, recognizing his outstanding leadership, commitment to public safety, and innovative contributions to improving transportation systems. His dedication was further celebrated back home, where he was recognized before his County Board at their May 26 meeting.
We’re incredibly proud to see Brad’s impactful work acknowledged both nationally and locally. Please join me in celebrating this well deserved achievement!
