Hey everybody! We are selling t-shirts in honor of our 50th year at Willow Lake! Proceeds from the shirt sale will help to support the 50th year celebration on August 15th. They are currently for sale at the nature center and we'll have some available during the August 15th event. We have a variety of sizes from youth small to adult xl, so you can deck out the whole family!

Hi I’m Wes Vana. I live in Logan and I am a student at Buena Vista University. I’m studying biology and ag science. I enjoy hiking, camping and being active outdoors.

Hi, Evan Estrada here! I live in Woodbine and I am going to be a sophomore at Simpson College. After last years internship with Harrison County Conservation, I changed my major from sports admin to environmental sciences. I enjoy running and fishing and am on the cross country and track teams at Simpson.

Hi, my name is Hailey Springman and I’m from Portsmouth Iowa. I am going to college at Iowa Lakes Community College then going to SDSU for Environmental Science.

The Willow Lake Nature Center will be open for the holiday weekend from 12 pm to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday. We will be closed on Monday May 25th.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. 🇺🇸

In the spirit of remembrance, community, and bringing joy to future generations, the Makey family has generously donated funds toward a new interactive musical playground toy for the Willow Lake playground. We are incredibly grateful for the Makey family’s generosity and support in making this project possible. Thank you, Makey family!
