Looking for a meaningful way to give your time?

WRC is welcoming student volunteers ages 13+ who want to get involved, gain experience, and make a difference right here in our community!

There are several ways students can lend a hand, including:

📦 Sorting and organizing donations
🛍️ Helping with donations on Voucher Day Thursdays
📸 Taking photos and videos for WRC
🎨 Helping create graphics and content for Cheep Boutique
💚 Pitching in wherever an extra set of hands is needed

Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM, making it easy to find a time that works with your schedule.

Students ages 13–18 will need a guardian to sign a waiver before volunteering.

Interested? Reach out to Trinity through WRC’s main phone number or email [email protected] to get started.

Parents, teachers, and friends, please share this with a student who might love the opportunity to get involved!

Could your business be someone’s next opportunity? 💼

At WRC, job readiness is about helping people prepare for what comes next. But a prepared candidate still needs an employer willing to open the door.

We’d love to connect with Polk County employers who are hiring or interested in learning more about partnering with WRC and the individuals participating in our programs.

A job can mean more than a paycheck. It can be a step toward greater stability, confidence, and independence.

If your workplace is hiring, reach out to WRC to start a conversation.

And if you know a local employer we should connect with, tag them below! 💚

Holiday help starts now. 🎁

Each year, WRC’s Toy Drive helps bring a little extra joy to families in our community during the holiday season. This year, the need has grown, and we’d love to welcome even more local businesses, churches, schools, organizations, and community groups to be part of it.

Interested in hosting a Toy Drive collection at your location? WRC can even provide a wrapped collection box to help make getting started easy! 🎄

Whether your workplace fills one box or your whole organization gets involved, every contribution can help us reach more local families this holiday season.

Ready to participate? Please contact Jossy at WRC to get started. 💚

Know a local business, church, school, or organization that might want to join us? Tag them below or share this post with them!

Sometimes helping someone means knowing where to point them next. 🤝

WRC offers a variety of services, but we also know that no single organization can meet every need.

That’s why community referrals matter.

When someone needs support beyond what WRC provides, connecting them with another community resource can help them keep moving forward instead of wondering where to turn next.

It’s one more way our community becomes stronger when we work together. 💚

Save this post as a reminder that WRC can be a place to start, and share our information with someone who may need help finding their next step.

“Our business wants to support WRC. Where do we start?” 🤝

We love this question because there isn’t just one answer.

Local businesses can make a difference by donating needed items, volunteering, supporting community initiatives, sharing WRC resources, connecting us with employment opportunities, and partnering with us in other meaningful ways.

You don’t need a huge team or a huge budget to get involved. Sometimes a great community partnership simply starts with a conversation.

Interested in finding the right fit for your business? Reach out to WRC to start the conversation. 💚

And if there’s a Polk County business you’d love to see get involved, tag them below!

Starting over isn’t one big step. Often, it’s many small ones. 💜

Learning how to build a budget. Preparing to return to work. Understanding your finances. Setting a goal and realizing you have the tools to work toward it.

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we recognize that building greater financial stability can be one part of the journey forward for someone rebuilding their life.

Through financial education and employment preparation, WRC helps participants develop practical skills they can carry with them into what comes next.

Because opportunity isn’t about having everything figured out today. It’s about having tools for tomorrow.

The holidays should be filled with moments of joy, not extra worry. 🎁💚

As WRC prepares for the holiday season, we want to make sure more children and teens in our community have something special to look forward to.

Through our holiday Toy Drive, we hope to extend support beyond the families already connected with WRC and reach others in Polk County who could use a little extra help this year.

If your family could use assistance with holiday gifts for a child or teen, we'd love to hear from you. 💚

Please reach out to WRC to learn more about available holiday assistance.

And if you know a family who might benefit, please share this post with them. Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is connect someone with a resource they didn't know was available.

Want to make a difference right here in Polk County? There’s more than one way to do it.

You can...

🛒 Add an extra item to your grocery cart for our pantry.
👗 Shop gently loved items at Boutique.
🙋 Give your time as a volunteer.
💼 Connect WRC with employment opportunities.
📲 Share our resources with someone who may need them.
🤝 Get your business or organization involved.

Every person brings something different to a community. That’s what makes it work.

So, we want to hear from you: Which way would you most like to get involved with WRC?

Tell us below! 👇

10/12/2026

What if everyone added just one? 🛒💚

One extra can of food. One box of pasta. One hygiene item. One frozen meal.

It may not feel like much on its own, but when neighbors across our community each add one extra item to their shopping cart, those small contributions can add up to meaningful support for local individuals and families.

So we’re starting the One Extra Item Challenge!

Next time you’re shopping, add just one extra non-perishable or frozen food item or hygiene product to your cart for WRC. That’s it. One extra item for a neighbor. 💚

Already taking the challenge? Drop a 💚 below, and tag a friend who might want to join you!
