New at Flatwater: Tyler Free-LaMere set out to compose a song for her mother’s dual language program at a Winnebago elementary school. The piece will now be used in classrooms across the country.

Creating spaces where our 2SLGBTQIA+ relatives and allies can come together to learn, connect, and build community is so important. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and welcomed.

A huge thank you to our friends at Winnebago Two-Spirit for collaborating with us on tonight’s screening of Being Thunder. You were the very first organization to partner with us in 2025, and we are incredibly grateful for your friendship, trust, and continued collaboration. We look forward to many more opportunities to work together!

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍⚧️

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and beauty of our Two-Spirit, LGBTQIA+, and gender-diverse relatives. Across Indigenous nations, Two-Spirit relatives have long held sacred roles as leaders, healers, caretakers, artists, and knowledge keepers. Their presence is a gift to our communities.

In collaboration with Winnebago Two-Spirit and Little Priest Tribal College, we invite the community to come together for a free screening of Being Thunder on June 16 and celebrate the stories, experiences, and voices of Indigenous Two-Spirit and LGBTQ+ people.
