She has worked across many different settings, including inpatient, wound and infusion, primary care, and supporting dialysis patients. Congratulations to Anpao Petite-Fowler, a 2026 Winnebago Health Foundation Scholarship recipient! Anpao, an enrolled member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, is pursuing a degree in business with an employee healthcare focus at Nebraska Indian Community College. She is developing a 20-unit assisted living and behavioral health facility focused on culturally grounded care for Native Communities. Anpao’s goal is to create a local healthcare solution that keeps Winnebago Community Members close to home.

This year, we were excited to sponsor one of our leaders at Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System, Camilla Barajas, as she participated in the 2026 cohort of Leadership Siouxland.

When asked about her experience, Director of the Wa i pi nagu (Diabetes) Program, Camilla Barajas said, "Participating in Leadership Siouxland deepened my skills in community-focused leadership. I am grateful for this experience and to the Winnebago Health Foundation for investing in my growth."
