🐾 Happy Gotcha Day, Skye! 🎉

We had a special visit today from Joel Wexler and his sweet girl, Skye, who came back to celebrate her gotcha day! Skye was adopted from Paws Place 8 years ago. She arrived here with her mom and littermates as little Lindy, and look at her now! 💕

Joel also generously made a donation to help us continue our mission. Thank you, Joel, for giving Skye a wonderful life and for supporting the dogs still waiting for their own happy endings. ❤️

🍂TONGUE OUT TUESDAY🍂

October is here, and our Dog of the Month is one very special girl! Meet Ladybug!

This sweet 1-year-old, 50-pound Pit Bull mix has a happy personality, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. Ladybug loves meeting new people, playing with her favorite toys, and soaking up all the attention she can get!

Ladybug is very treat motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding! She’s still learning her manners and will thrive with a little patience, consistency, and plenty of tasty treats along the way.

Ladybug enjoys having her own toys and a little space during mealtime, so she’ll do best with a family who understands and respects those special moments. She is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and would do best with children 16 years and older.

We think fall would be the perfect time for Ladybug to find her people. She has so much personality, love, and fun to share, and we’d love to see her spending the season enjoying cozy days, fun adventures, and lots of love in a home of her own.

Come meet our October Dog of the Month and get to know this sweet girl for yourself. Ladybug is ready to make some wonderful fall memories with her very own family!

Happy Gotcha Day to our September Dog of the Month, Oakley!

Oakley’s family shared that life with him has been so rewarding and that he is already showing off his goofy, playful personality. They say he feels like the piece they had been looking for, and it’s clear this sweet boy is very loved!

We couldn’t be happier to see Oakley enjoying life with his family!🐾

🌧️ Rain couldn't dampen the spirit at Paws for a Cause in Winding River! 🐾

The community showed up and proved that a little weather is no match for love of dogs.

A huge thank you to everyone at Winding River Paws For A Cause for the incredible work they do to raise money for animal rescues. Because of your generosity and dedication, animals in need get a second chance at a loving home. We are so grateful! 💛

Still Waiting Sunday 🐞

Ladybug arrived at Paws Place back in April, and somehow this goofy girl is still waiting. So for October, we’re giving her a little extra spotlight as our Dog of the Month.

Ladybug is playful, treat-motivated, loves meeting people, and has the kind of personality that makes it very easy to root for her. She’s been here for months now, and we’d really love for October to be the month that changes everything for her.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a dog to your life, come meet Ladybug.

🐾💙 A HUGE thank you to Wilmington Animal Centrix ! 💙🐾

We are so grateful for the incredible support they showed Paws Place through both a donation drive AND a day of service!

Their donation drive brought in two big wagon loads of much-needed cleaning supplies for our dogs and facility. 🧼🧹🐶

And then they rolled up their sleeves and got to work! 💪🐾 They:
✨ Cleaned the van inside and out
✨ Cleaned the swimming pool
✨ Filled holes in the playpen
✨ Pulled weeds and helped spruce up the property
