CIS Thrift Shop at Boiling Spring Lakes Communities In Schools (CIS) was founded nationally in the 1970's. Our core program, Action for Success, focuses its work on dropout prevention.

All monies raised in our thrift shops support CIS programs provided to students in Brunswick County Schools.

Just a reminder that donations WILL NOT be accepted at any of our shops until July 1st due to our upcoming inventory.
Donation drop offs will resume at 1pm on Wednesday, July 1st and continue on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.
Our shops will be closed the morning of Wednesday, July 1st but will reopen at 12pm.

Important Operational Change: Due to the overwhelming volume of donations that we are blessed to be receiving from our communities, we have made the decision to limit donation days to keep our processing team safe and to improve efficiency. Beginning June 1, 2026, Donation Drop Offs will ONLY BE ACCEPTED on the following days:
Mondays- 10am-4pm
Wednesdays- 10am-4pm
Saturdays- 10am-4pm
We understand that this will be an adjustment and ask for your support as we make this change to create a better donation experience for everyone. We also ask that if you have a donation larger than a vehicle-full, that you reach out to the shop directly to set up a time that we can be best prepared to assist you.
