Join West Gate-Adelphic Lodge No. 509 for our Free Will Donation Pancake Breakfast, with all donations supporting the Iowa League of Heroes and their work bringing hope and encouragement to children and families facing medical challenges.

We also have a special guest appearance confirmed:

TDK (Batman) and The Boy Wonder (Robin) will be joining us from 9:30–10:00 AM.

Come enjoy pancakes, biscuits & gravy, omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, and fellowship—and help support a mission that brings real encouragement to Iowa families.

Sometimes it looks like arriving before sunrise, heating the griddle, stacking plates, and pouring coffee for neighbors and friends.

Sometimes it looks like giving your time to bring hope, courage, and joy to children facing difficult circumstances.

Different methods. Shared purpose.

At their best, both begin with the same simple decision: choosing to serve someone else.

The volunteers of the Iowa League of Heroes dedicate their time to bringing hope, encouragement, and joy to children and families facing difficult circumstances.

They remind us that some of the most meaningful acts of service aren’t grand gestures—they’re moments of kindness, compassion, and human connection.

Today we pause to acknowledge Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, perseverance, and the continuing journey toward liberty and equality for all.

As Freemasons, we are reminded that the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth call us to respect the dignity of every person and to work toward a more just and harmonious society.

West Gate-Adelphic Lodge No. 509 honors the significance of this day and reflects upon the blessings of freedom that unite us as Americans.

Please join us on Tuesday evening as WestGate-Adelphic Lodge No. 509 A F & A M continues the Masonic journey of Brother Bryan Iehl by conferring the Fellow Craft Degree.

We are grateful for the assistance of Moingona Lodge,No.633 who will be providing the courtesy degree work for this special occasion. Their support and dedication to the Craft exemplify the spirit of brotherhood that unites our lodges.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM, with degree work beginning shortly thereafter.

We encourage all members to attend and support Brother Bryan as he advances in his Masonic education. Let us fill the sidelines, support the degree team, and demonstrate the fellowship that makes our fraternity strong.

Sometimes it looks like showing up for a child who needs encouragement.

Sometimes it means giving up your free time to serve others.

Sometimes it means choosing to bring hope, joy, and kindness into someone’s life when they need it most.

That’s what the volunteers of the Iowa League of Heroes do every day.

Behind every costume is a person who has chosen to make a difference in the life of a child and their family.

This is a friendly reminder that on Monday, June 22nd, WestGate-Adelphic Lodge No. 509 A F & A M will be raising Brother Jason Homesley to the Sublime degree of a Master Mason.

This is a significant milestone in Brother Jason’s Masonic journey, and we encourage all who can attend and support him as he receives his third degree.

Dinner: 6:00 PM
Degree Work: To begin shortly after dinner

We are honored to have the assistance of the 2025 Grand Lodge Officers, who will be conferring the degree. Their participation will make this a memorable evening for Brother Jason and our Lodge.

Service takes many forms.

Sometimes it means preparing breakfast before sunrise. Sometimes it means volunteering your time to support a local youth organization. Sometimes it means bringing hope and encouragement to a child facing one of life’s toughest challenges.

The Iowa League of Heroes and Freemasonry may serve in different ways, but both are rooted in a simple belief: we should leave our communities better than we found them.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday to the United States Army! 🇺🇸

Today we honor 250 years of service, sacrifice, courage, and unwavering dedication to our nation by the men and women of the United States Army.

Since June 14, 1775, generations of Soldiers have answered the call to defend liberty, protect our freedoms, and serve a cause greater than themselves. Their commitment has safeguarded our nation through times of war, peace, uncertainty, and triumph.

We extend our deepest gratitude and respect to all Army veterans, active-duty Soldiers, reservists, National Guard members, and their families. Your service embodies the values of duty, honor, integrity, and selfless devotion that we hold in the highest regard.

Many of our Brothers have worn the uniform of our nation, and we are proud to stand beside them in fellowship and appreciation. Today we celebrate not only an institution, but the millions of Americans who have carried its colors with honor for two and a half centuries.

To all who have served and continue to serve—thank you.
