If you need help or emergency assistance, reach out to the Pulaski County, Indiana, Emergency Management Agency. The incredible folks there are working hard to coordinate assistance and direct resources to everyone in Pulaski County who has been impacted.

While we're all drying out here, our Hoosier friends to the east in Delaware, Fayette, Henry, Madison, and Randolph counties have experienced severe devastation and need major assistance. If you are in a position to help them rebuild, you can give to the Heart of Indiana United Way Flood Recovery Fund at www.heartofindiana.org/floodrecovery.

If you want to help here at home, consider donating to the Pulaski County Emergency Response Fund, which is dedicated to disaster relief, recovery, and preparedness. While you're at it, consider giving Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Indiana and the Pulaski County Highway Department (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010729309840).

UPDATED Aug. 12, 9:33 a.m. -- Following yesterday's storm and severe weather, Indiana 211 is accepting damage reports for Lake, LaPorte, Newton and Porter counties.

To help establish a comprehensive assessment of damage, residents can call 866-211-9966 or visit the Indiana 211 website (on.in.gov/IN-211).

Collecting assessments via this process will help IDHS determine damage estimates and develop the next course of action in the disaster recovery process.
