GFLGLCC-Greater Fort Lauderdale Lgbtq+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce

10/23/2026

Get to know the Chamber - We are more than a networking group.

You may know us from our mixers, coffee gatherings, and luncheons. But those events are just one part of what we do.

The Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce works to support our businesses, strengthen our community, and make sure visitors find a welcoming place when they arrive.

💜 We are advocates.
We bring the voices and needs of LGBTQ+ and allied businesses into conversations with community leaders and partner organizations. Representation matters, and so does showing up.

🤝 We are connectors.
We introduce business owners to potential partners, customers, and opportunities. Through Chamber & the Arts, we also bring businesses and local arts organizations together, helping connect commerce, culture, and community.

📍 We are a resource for our community.
From educational programs and business introductions to member spotlights and our upcoming Visitor & Community Guide, we create opportunities for businesses to learn, gain visibility, and grow.

☀️ We are a welcoming place for our visitors.
Our LGBTQ+ Visitor Center helps people discover local businesses, explore our area, and feel connected to the community—whether they’re here for a weekend or considering making it home.
This work continues long after the event ends. Your membership helps make it possible.

When you join the Chamber, you invest in your business and the community around it.

When payroll gets complicated, local matters. 🌱

At Journey Payroll & HR, we take the time to learn your business, your people, and the local landscape you operate in, because the right support should feel like it was built just for you.

🏳️‍🌈 MY COMMUNITY. MY CHAMBER.

Meet Jason Alexander | Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown

A strong community is built by people and businesses who believe in supporting one another, building relationships, and making everyone feel welcome.

For Jason Alexander of Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown, that connection is personal.

💬 “Community is why my husband and I fell in love with Wilton Manors. The Chamber carries that same spirit across Greater Fort Lauderdale, connecting LGBTQ+ and allied businesses, supporting one another, and strengthening the place we call home.”

Jason's words capture exactly what My Community. My Chamber. is all about. It's more than where we do business. It's about the people, relationships, and shared commitment that make Greater Fort Lauderdale such a special place to live, work, and visit.

Thank you, Jason, and the team at Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown, for being part of our Chamber family and helping strengthen the community we're all proud to call home.

My Community. My Chamber. ❤️

🏳️‍🌈 WE ARE MORE THAN A NETWORKING GROUP.
WE ARE A VISITOR RESOURCE.

Greater Fort Lauderdale has long been recognized as one of the country's most welcoming LGBTQ+ destinations, and we're proud to play a role in keeping it that way.

Through our Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBTQ+ Visitor & Community Center, we help connect visitors with the businesses, attractions, accommodations, restaurants, and experiences that make our community special.

But our work goes beyond welcoming visitors. It's about supporting the local businesses that depend on tourism and making sure LGBTQ+ travelers know that Greater Fort Lauderdale is still here, still welcoming, and open for business.

At a time when LGBTQ+ visibility and tourism support are being reduced, our role as a trusted visitor resource is more important than ever.

That's also why we're launching our new Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBTQ+ Visitor & Community Guide, another way to connect visitors with our local businesses and showcase everything our destination has to offer.

Because when visitors discover our community, our local businesses benefit, our economy grows, and our entire community becomes stronger.

We Are Advocates. We Are Connectors. We Are a Community Resource. We Are a Visitor Resource.

We Are More Than a Networking Group.

🏳️‍🌈 MY COMMUNITY. MY CHAMBER.

Building Community. Building Businesses. Building Futures.

This week, we're proud to spotlight James Mack, President/Location Owner of Journey Payroll & HR, and a valued member of our Chamber since 2024.

For James, being part of the Chamber is about much more than networking. It's about building meaningful relationships, sharing knowledge, supporting fellow business owners, and investing in the community we all call home.

As James puts it:

💬 "Being part of the Chamber means more than making connections. It's about investing in the people and businesses that make our community unique. The relationships we build, the knowledge we share, and the support we give one another creates a stronger business community for everyone."

James doesn't just talk about supporting our business community. He actively contributes to it through his involvement with the Chamber and his commitment to helping businesses succeed.

We're grateful to have James and Journey Payroll & HR as part of our Chamber family!

🏳️‍🌈 KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY VISIBLE. SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES.

Our new Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBTQ+ Visitor & Community Guide is almost here, and we want YOU to be part of it!

At a time when LGBTQ+ visibility is being reduced, we're stepping up to make sure our community and the businesses that support it continue to be seen.

🌈 Why does this matter?

✅ More than 1.3 million LGBTQ+ visitors come to Greater Fort Lauderdale each year.

✅ LGBTQ+ tourism has historically contributed over $1 billion annually to our local economy.

✅ Our Guide will promote local businesses, attractions, restaurants, hotels and community organizations year-round.

✅ We'll reach visitors and residents through digital promotion, community partnerships, social media and distribution throughout South Florida and beyond.

📣 NOW IS THE TIME TO GET INVOLVED!

Whether you're a small business, a major employer or a community organization, being part of this Guide is more than advertising. It's showing your support for the businesses and people who make our community thrive.

There's an old saying: A rising tide lifts all ships. When we support one another, we all benefit.

We still have advertising opportunities available, and we'd love to include YOUR business!

📩 Message us or email [email protected] to get involved.

🏳️‍🌈 Let's keep our community visible, our businesses strong and Greater Fort Lauderdale welcoming to all.

Our Community. Our Chamber.
