This retreat created room for transmasculine folks and cis same gender loving men to simply exist without feeling fetishized, questioned, or forced to choose between masculinity and femininity. We were allowed to show up fully — soft and strong, vulnerable and grounded, seen and appreciated in our visibility.
The space also highlighted the importance of intergenerational healing and support. Being able to learn from one another, hold space across different lived experiences, and witness vulnerability in all its forms reminded us that healing is communal and masculinity does not have to be isolating.
Spaces like this remind us that connection, brotherhood, and care can exist without competition or erasure.
Thank you to Ujima Men's Collective Protege Project for the invitation, the intentionality, and for creating space where so many of us felt heard, valued, and affirmed. 🤎
