The Pet Project FL PetProjectForPets.org is a charitable organization “Keep Pets in their Homes" we are the largest pet retention organization in South Florida

PetProjectForPets.org distributes pet food and supplies to clients via a monthly pet food bank in both Broward & Miami/Dade. For those clients immobilized or too debilitated to pick up at the Food Bank we offer home delivery. We rely on donations, grants and Valued Volunteers as we currently assist over 2000 pets and their families. Almost daily we receive calls for emergency pet food assistance

as individuals,families, those living on disability and fixed incomes struggle. Often their pets are the reason they get up each day and get out into the world.

🍧COOL TAILS & CHILLED WHISKERS: Summer Treats Your Pets Will Love 🐾☀️
When the heat turns up, help your furry best friend chill out with safe, easy homemade treats! At The Pet Project, we’re serving up a little paw-sicle menu to keep tails wagging and whiskers cool.
Peanut butter “Pup-sicle à la Woof” (Dogs)
Mix:
• Plain unsweetened yogurt
• A spoonful of peanut butter (xylitol-free only!)
• Banana slices
Freeze in molds or ice cube trays.

Watermelon “Barkuterie Pops” (Dogs)
Blend seedless watermelon and freeze into cubes. Add blueberries for bonus fun.

Chicken broth “Broth Cubes Bistro” (Dogs & Cats)
Freeze low-sodium chicken broth (no onion or garlic) into ice cubes for a cool savory snack.

Tuna “Meow-jito Ice Bites” (Cats)
Mix a little tuna water (from tuna packed in water) with extra water and freeze into tiny treats.

Pumpkin “Pumpkin Chill Cups” (Dogs & Cats)
Mix plain canned pumpkin with a tiny bit of water or plain yogurt and freeze.

Cucumber “Spa Day Crunchies” (Dogs)
Cold cucumber slices straight from the fridge for a crunchy cooldown.

🐾 Summer Safety Reminder: Frozen treats are fun, but moderation matters! Introduce new foods slowly, keep portions small, and always provide plenty of fresh water.

Because nothing says “I love you” like tiny frozen snacks served with unreasonable excitement. 🐶🐱❄️

Meet Chip! He was part of Pet Projects "Senior Claws" Program in partnership with and was recently adopted into his FurEver Home. Together, the program provides the Long Term Resident of the shelter with food, health care and pet necessities for life; eliminating the adoptive family's financial burden that often comes with senior animal care and sometimes discourages the adoption! From our Pet Project's Family to Chip and his Family- WELCOME HOME and we wish them many happy-purring years together!💙🧡💚❤️
