Broward House is a not for profit social services organization with over 30 years of providing services for our community impacted by HIV and other chronic health challenges. We provide wrap around social services comprising of Case Management, Substance Abuse Treatment, Mental Health Therapy, as well as ensuring access to medical care. We provide a broad spectrum of housing to families and indivi

duals impacted by HIV and socio-economic challenges which includes Assisted Living, Transitional Housing and Independent Apartments with support to ensure stability. We strive daily to spread the message and supply the tools for education and prevention of the HIV/AIDS virus.

In April 2023, a lot of you may remember, Broward House faced one of the most devastating moments in our history when the Fort Lauderdale floods caused significant damage to our facilities.

But we were not alone.

Because of the incredible support from the Foundation, Broward House was able to rebuild, recover, and continue doing what we have always been here to do; serve our community and the people who depend on us.

Last Friday, we had the honor of officially naming our Assisted Living Facility the: Warten Hall, in recognition of the Warten Foundation and their incredible contribution to helping Broward House rebuild after the flood.

In her speech our Executive Director, Nicole Burrell noted that for us, this is more than a name on a building. It is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together, extends a hand, and believes in the work we do.

To the Warten Foundation: Thank you for helping us rebuild, so we could keep serving.❤️

We are truly grateful for your partnership and the lasting impact you have made on Broward House and our community. May Fred Warten's Legacy live on through us.

Here is a sneak peek into the progress of our soon-to-be-opened Life Skills Training Center! ✨

The setup of our sewing room is underway, made possible through the generosity of our donors, Javier Weicman and Boca Bargoons Fabrics 🧵💙

While we continue preparing this training center, we are inviting community members who would love to be part of this initiative by sharing their skills and giving back. We are looking for , and other skilled professionals who are interested in volunteering their time to help empower the persons we serve.

We are also seeking donors and community partners who would like to support this project by helping us purchase or donate essential items such as barber chairs, barbering equipment, hairstyling chairs and stations, and a manicure/pedicure station.

With your help we hope to create a space where the people we serve can learn new skills, build confidence, and explore opportunities for growth and independence. 💙

As America celebrates 250 years, we are reflecting on what it truly means to build a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

For the people we serve, freedom isn't just a word, it means having access to healthcare, stable housing, support during life's hardest moments, and the opportunity to build a better future.

It may look like a family finding a safe place to call home.
It may look like someone taking charge of their health through HIV testing and prevention.
It may look like recovery, hope, compassion, and second chances.

While our offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day, our commitment to the community does not stop.

The Broward House team will be joining the We the People March, standing alongside our community in support of health, dignity, equality, and opportunity for all.
