The Playhouse of Wilson is SO thankful for each and every one of the numerous volunteers who made the 2025-2026 season possible this year. Whether you donated your time in countless rehearsals and performances onstage, or professionally disappeared into the background to keep the shows rolling, or provided a warm welcome in the lobby for our audiences, the work you put into our organization has not been lost on us. We are so very thankful for you, and we hope you are already making plans to join us again next season! 🎭 The Final Bow: “The Bridges of Madison County”

We always worry about what’s ahead, but sometimes we forget to look at what’s right in front of us.” 🌾✨

And just like that, the curtain has fallen on “The Bridges of Madison County.” To say this journey was magical would be an understatement. Over the last few weeks, we built a beautiful world together, filled with raw emotion, breathtaking music, and a love story that will stay in our hearts forever.

To our extraordinary cast and crew: Thank you for your tireless dedication, your immense talent, and the passion you poured into every single rehearsal and performance. You made magic on the stage each night, and we love and appreciate each of you more than you know!

To our wonderful Wilson community and audiences: Thank you for crossing the bridge with us. Thank you for the shared tears, the applause, and for allowing live theatre to connect us all. We create this art for you, and your energy filled the room with life.

While this chapter is complete, the stage never stays dark for long. We are turning the page and heading straight into preparation for an all-new season filled with fresh stories, big laughs, and unforgettable moments. Keep an eye on our socials, because cannot wait to share what comes next! 👀

Countdown to “Bridges” with our “Meet the Cast & Crew Series!”

Kaitlyn Garner (State Fair Singer, Ginny, Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of her first Playhouse of Wilson production. Kaitlyn holds a BA in Music Education from ECU. During her college career, she participated in numerous operas, competed internationally as a member of the ECU Chamber Singers, and was awarded the most outstanding senior for choral music education (2016). Kaitlyn currently works as a private voice teacher and music director in Youngsville, NC. In addition to teaching and directing, Kaitlyn is on the roster for the professional choir Carolina Choral Artists. She received first place in both the 2023-2024 state and regional NATS musical theatre treble adult category. Her favorite productions include The Hunchback of Notre Dame (The Choir), Twelfth Night (Viola), and The Little Mermaid (Ursula). Kaitlyn would like to thank her best friend and husband Isaac for being her biggest cheerleader and the Bridges family for being such an incredible company.

Countdown to “Bridges” with our “Meet the Cast & Crew Series!”

Mary Beth Pittman (Francesca Johnson) is honored to portray Francesca, a long-awaited dream role. She previously appeared as Marta in Company with Playhouse of Wilson and as Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at McGregor Hall, and has performed and music directed in productions throughout Rocky Mount and Wilson, including Act for Youth. She has also performed multiple operas and sacred works in Italy, including Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi and Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, and loved drawing on her deep connection to Italy to help shape this character. Outside of the stage, she is a music teacher who loves sharing her passion for violin and vocal arts with her students. She would like to thank this incredible cast and crew for being a part of bringing this beautiful, heartfelt story to life, and her husband, Chris, for his constant love and support.

Countdown to “Bridges” with our “Meet the Cast & Crew Series!”

Joshua Dinan (Robert Kincaid) is thrilled to be stepping into the role of Robert Kincaid in The Bridges of Madison County. His love for theatre began with Act For Youth, where he appeared as Jafar in Aladdin and co-starred in Cinderella alongside Mary Beth Pittman, who now joins him again onstage 15 years later. Joshua later proudly served seven years in the United States Air Force, during which he continued performing in Delaware as Jamie in The Last Five Years (Kent County Theatre Guild) and Dan in Next to Normal (The Milton Theatre). Now back home in Wilson, NC, this marks his first production since returning. This fall, Joshua will begin studies in Music Therapy at the ECU School of Music. When he is not onstage, Joshua can usually be found playing music or singing around downtown Wilson, or spending time with his partner Carlynn and their children, Bennard Skynyrd Mercer Dinan (dog) and Opal Lou Mercer Dinan (cat). He is honored to bring this beautiful story to life with such a talented cast and crew.
