Every dollar raised through our Courage Has A Cost campaign helps ensure that courageous filmmakers, workers, organizers, and communities can keep telling the stories that too many systems try to silence.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has donated, shared, amplified, and stood with us so far. Because of you, we’re already 2/3 of the way toward our $10,000 goal.

These stories matter. The people behind them matter. And building pathways for films to reach communities, movements, and audiences across the country takes real collective support.

If you haven’t yet contributed, we’d love your help getting across the finish line. Every gift makes a difference. Link in bio to donate!

May Day is for organizing ✊

Host a TRY US screening and bring your community together around what it actually takes to build power at work.

These films are part of Working Films’ Docs in Action initiative, created to help people see the wins that are possible through labor organizing and step into it themselves.

Screen one. Screen all three. Bring your coworkers. Your neighbors. Your people. Start a conversation that leads somewhere!

Don't miss Yoruba Richen's FREE JOAN LITTLE at the NC Black Film Festival in Wilmington, NC this Sunday May 3rd. The film tells the story of the 1975 groundbreaking case of Joan Little who was the first woman in U.S history to be acquitted for using deadly force to resist sexual assault. At 20 years old Joan (pronounced Jo-Ann) was incarcerated in North Carolina when she killed a white jailer who was trying to r***r her. Her trial drew international attention and became a rallying point for civil rights, women’s rights and prison reform. The case brought together diverse activists and catalyzed an international conversation about sexual assault and racial justice that has reverberations to this day. More than 500 students! Deep conversation. Real connection 🎥♥️

At the San Diego Latino Film Festival, Working Films’ Impact Kickstart awardee Colette Ghunim screened Traces of Home with high school students. The reception was phenomenal! They showed up ready to reflect on migration, identity, and their own family histories.

This is how impact takes root. 🌱
