Oh wow, guess what I just found!! Our old podcast that Shawn and Eric use to do back in the day together! Spectral Talk Radio, before it evolved into the Paranormal Revolution. Very true unfortunately

The current landscape of the paranormal field reveals a significant divide among various groups, despite a shared goal of seeking answers about life after death. If one were to survey every paranormal group across the country, it's likely that they would all affirm their quest for understanding what lies beyond our existence.

When asked about personal experiences that validate their beliefs and fuel their research, most groups would also agree, highlighting a potential for unity. However, the reality is that the number of paranormal groups has proliferated, leading to an alarming rise in infighting and conflicts that I’ve seen over the past 21 years.

As the field has expanded, it seems to have fostered a more toxic environment, possibly exacerbated by the influence of social media.

Rumors circulate, and groups often air their grievances publicly, which undermines the solidarity that should exist among those pursuing similar interests.

The dynamics resemble those of a high school cafeteria, where cliques form and gossip thrives, detracting from the shared mission of understanding the paranormal.

To outsiders, those engaged in paranormal investigations may appear eccentric or "crazy," a perception that should ideally serve as a unifying factor among practitioners.

Throughout my time in this field, I've experienced conflicts. I am an affordable human being. We all are. But have chosen to handle them privately rather than publicly.

I believe in addressing issues directly with individuals involved or simply letting them go, avoiding unnecessary drama.

The persistent need for some individuals to attack or discredit others is perplexing, as it serves no constructive purpose.

Such behavior detracts from the collective goal of exploring what lies beyond physical life, a passion that originally drew many into this field. Instead of fostering collaboration and sharing insights on methodologies and findings, the discourse has shifted to one of aggression and negativity.

The question remains: what happened to the unity that once characterized the paranormal community?
