Stand by for a wonderful, heartwarming experience. Homes of Hope India, which builds orphanages for orphaned and marginalized girls in India, in just ten days raised over $160,000 from its donor base to buy food for the poor during the calamity of the pandemic. Men had no work; families and migrants suddenly without a job were literally starving.

At our Carmel Jyoti Home of Hope in Imphal, Manipur, our girls pitched right in to pack the food for their needy neighbors. These girls, the orphaned and marginalized, were so happy to help, as you see.

There are 20 Homes of Hope, either completed or under construction, throughout India. Join our family at www.homesofhopeindia.org so we can continue build homes for these precious children..

Any many of you know, Homes of Hope India has 20 Homes for orphaned and abandoned girls in India...but in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Homes of Hope India has raised over $100,000 to feed the poor at its locations throughout India. Here are some photos of the Catholic Sisters at our homes in that relief effort. If you would like to join us in our efforts, please visit our website www.homesofhopeindia.org. We must send still more funds to feed people who are starving.

My father-in-law, Joseph, was a wonderful guy. An immigrant who passionately loved America, he was hardworking, honest and thrifty. He had a laborer’s hands but a poet’s mind. Joseph had seen enough of life, however, to make him a bit jaundiced about human nature. My wife recently found a page o...
