As the Executive Director of the Willits Food Bank, I am responsible for raising funds and it has been quite a struggle.We have had to work so hard to keep our doors oepn. This year we have seen unprecedented numbers due to the economy and inflation. We are serving a large portion of the population in Mendocino County. Pre-covid, we served 30-50 households a day. After covid, we served approx 100 households a day. This year, with Redwood Empire Food Bank no longer serving in our area we have served up to 220 households a day. We deliver to homebound seniors, families with children, unhoused and anyone who is food insufficient. We believe that no on should go hungry. Please help us to help those who are food insufficient. One dollar gives 2 meals. $20 will feed a family for a week. Any amount will make a huge difference of the lives of those we serve. Thank you so much for helping make a difference.
