Milo Foundation Sanctuary

Milo Foundation Sanctuary The Milo Sanctuary in Willits, CA, cares for more than 200 animals. Many great dogs/pups to adopt!!! We welcome volunteers, adopters and visitors by appointment.

The Milo Sanctuary is east of Willits and was founded by Director Lynne Tingle in 1994. Milo also has a thriving adoption center, Milo Point Richmond where the majority of our rescues arrive and are adopted from, however the Milo Sanctuary also has new rescues arriving often. As well as providing a safe place for moms and their puppies, and a place for dogs needing a break from a kennel, our Sanc

tuary provides ample space for dogs to be dogs, and semi tame and feral cats to live their lives! In 30 years the non-profit has saved over 45,000 animals from being euthanized in California shelters! To visit the Sanctuary please email, or call and talk to our office and Adoption Manager, Amy, Tuesday through Saturday, as we have a small yet dedicated staff and want to ensure that we can devote full attention to your visit, and make sure you are a good fit for the animal you wish to adopt. The Milo Sanctuary is always in need of volunteers, foster homes, donors and of course loving families looking to adopt! Please contact us if you would like to help!

Meet 9-year-old lovely gentleman, Shiro, who has been with us a long while. We hope to find this sweet fellow a retirement home. Recently we had him to the vets where he had some teeth pulled and a mass removed behind his ear. He is all recovered now, but we realize he is a senior and he so enjoyed his extra pampering post surgery. Shiro deserves a loving home for his remaining years. A quiet, loving home where he can finally relax, feel safe, and be cherished. 💖

Senior dogs have a way of loving that is different. They’ve outgrown the chaos and just want to be near their people, enjoying simple things: a cozy bed, a sunny spot by the window, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing they’re home.

Whether through fostering or adoption, you could be the person who changes everything for him. Imagine how much it would mean for him to leave the shelter behind and spend his days surrounded by kindness, comfort, and love.❤️

He doesn’t need perfection. He doesn’t need endless adventures. He just needs a soft place to rest, a gentle hand to pet him, and someone willing to say, “You belong here.”

Shiro’s adoption fee is $150.

Apply to foster or adopt him today!

Thank you for sharing Shiro. 💚

18 lives saved at Milo Sanctuary, and 31 arrived at Milo Pt Richmond. 49 dogs and cats safe - a good day.
Two moms with 8 pups each, on lengthy euthanasia lists at Fresno and Tulare, their lives to end Tuesday end of day. We got the call and jumped into action to at least save two moms and their pups.
Chris, a wonderful pilot offered to fly, everything quickly fell into place. Dynamo rescue gal Jenn Ross grabbed crates, picked up the moms and babes, and soon all 18 were in the air headed to Ukiah!
I got them all to Milo Sanctuary by 6:30, Tyson, and Caleb had two rooms all set up in our barn, which has become a full time nursery these days!
Two lovely dogs and their pups no longer facing death. At least these 2 families are safe, many others are not, but we do what we can. The staff here are terrific, willing and positive. They will get great care, and be ready for the rest of their lives in loving homes in about 4-5 weeks!!
Donations towards puppy food and other necessities always appreciated! 26 puppies and their moms eat a LOT of puppy food!! https://www.milofoundation.org/donate/

Meet Lassi, our beautiful 7-year-old Border Collie mix with the sweetest soul ❤️

This lovely girl was loved a little too much… with food. 😉She arrived at 90 lbs, so she’s now on her glow-up journey! Lassi is looking for a home committed to daily walks, a healthy routine, and low-cal treats like veggies and fruit. She’ll happily trade snacks for praise, affection, and your company.

She’s dog-friendly, but no cats please.

Lassie has a gentle heart, an affectionate nature, and a deep desire to bond with her person. Give her support, structure, and love—and she’ll give it back twentyfold.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready for her second chance, Lassi is your girl. 🐾✨

To meet her, please visit her profile www.milofoundation.org and give us a call:

Sharing Lassi gets her one paw closer to her person/people. Thank you!
