Happy gotcha day Barney !!!!
Barney came into Marion country animal shelter on May 3,2024 as a stray without a collar. They estimated him to be about 10 years old. I saw the post on him and just couldn’t stop thinking about him until we decided to go get him.
Thursday, June 20th after almost 7 weeks Barney got a home, and none too soon. They brought him out for me to meet him and the first thing I noticed was the happy smile. Just a happy lovable boy. He was missing hair on his back , most likely because of fleas, but its never grown back.
He fits in great with the girls. Madison is comfortable around him and Rosie seems to really enjoy his company. When Millie was add to the family he accepted her right in.
Barney has a lot of quirks we have had to work through, like no killing bugs in the house, no use of power tools, squeaky toys were bad, and a few others but with a lot of positive reinforcement he has come along way. We are still working on not eating the vet so stay tuned for that because he will have his yearly soon.
He is still a bed hog and snores a lot but he is the best snuggle bug anyone can ask for. We are happy to give Barney the forever home he deserves.
