Make a splash this fall with Windham Recreation Kids Swimming Lessons! 🏊‍♀️💦

We’re offering private and small-group lessons for swimmers ages 6 months–16 years, with options from Water Babies through Level 6, plus Pre-Swim Team.

With sessions offered throughout September, October, November, and December, families can choose the schedule that works best — and you only pay for the classes you sign up for!

Latin Dance is back at the Windham Community Center, led by Oswaldo Tirano of Grasshopper Arts & Dance Studio ! 🪇

Our next 2 class sessions are coming up:

🕺September 21 through November 2nd (6 Weeks)

💃🏽 Level 1 (Beginner) and Level 2 (Intermediate)

🕺🏻 Mondays @ 6 (Level 1); Mondays @ 7 (Level 2)

🎟️ COST: $60 for 6 weeks of lessons

Registration is officially OPEN for the 2026–27 Windham Youth Basketball season!

From first-time players to experienced athletes, our program gives youth in Grades K–8 the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, compete, make friends, and enjoy the game!

🐦 Early Bird Registration: September 1–30
📅 Grades 3–8 Registration Ends: October 23
📅 Biddy Basketball (Grades K–2) Registration Ends: November 6
🏀 Practices Begin: November
🏆 Games: December–February

The 2026 Maria T. Nazario Family and Community Expo was a BLAST! Thank you to all who came out today, as well as Windham Public Schools and the Town of Windham for putting on such an awesome event for our community.

Windham Recreation distributed 316 child & teen backpacks filled with back to school essentials, and led a special “back-to-school-bus” family craft for hands-on, creative fun.

We hope all students, families, & educators have a fantastic start to the school year! 💚

Last night, we invited our Windham community to join us for the Grand Finale celebration of our 2026 Summer Concert Series...and WOW, what a celebration it was!

As you look at these photos (we had a hard time choosing favorites), we hope you see the joy, unity, and spirit of our community shining through. To us, this is what makes recreation so important and impactful. When we play, dance, laugh, sing, smile, and "splash" together, it opens the door to community-wide connection, growth, and wellness...and that's what its all about.

Thank you, Windham, for allowing us to be part of the many core memories made this summer season! Special thank you to the Leo J. & Rose Pageau Trust for funding the entirety of the 2026 Summer Concert Series, making these events 100% free for families and community members. We're grateful for the support of and Willimantic Renaissance INC ( ) in helping us make the magic happen!
