I am not difficult to manage.
Just feed me.
Tell me I'm pretty.
Don't lie to me.
And don't make me explain something twice.
We're all gonna have a great time. Happy Thursday all!

Lets get out and enjoy Arizona!

This Saturday, June 6, make plans to be on the water! Arizona Game and Fish Department will not require fishing licenses that day at any state waters or community lakes as part of National Free Fishing Day. You can even bring a newbie angler or kiddo to fishing clinics offered at Dead Horse Ranch State Park and Dankworth Pond by the Roper Lake State Park rangers. Park entry fees still apply but there’s no cost to these clinics or the need to pay for a fishing license on June 6. Learn more at azstateparks.com/events.

There’s a shift happening in how we think about closets… and it’s not really about organization anymore.

It’s about intention.

Because here’s the truth most people don’t say out loud:

A beautiful closet isn’t the goal anymore. A useful one is.

One that makes getting dressed easier.
Not one that quietly pushes you to keep buying more just to “make it work.”

Because the most sustainable closet isn’t bigger… it’s smarter.

Instead of chasing endless new outfits, the focus is shifting toward fewer, better pieces that actually earn their place.

Clothes that move with you.
Work in more than one setting.
Dress up or down without effort.
Get worn again and again without guilt.

The kind of wardrobe where you’re not standing there thinking, “what even goes with this?”

Because everything already does.

---

🌿 A more intentional way to build your closet

It starts with a simple rule shift:

Don’t buy for one outfit. Buy for three versions of your life.

• Work → casual
• Day → night
• Warm weather → layered into cooler months

If it only works in one very specific scenario… it better be truly exceptional. Otherwise, it’s just clutter waiting for attention.

---

🧺 Organization that actually supports sustainability

Sustainable closets aren’t just about what you buy—they’re about what you can actually see and use.

• Keep only what fits your current life, not a past version of you
• Put “repeat-friendly” staples where you’ll actually reach for them
• Group clothing by how it makes you feel, not just by category
• Leave breathing room in your closet (empty space isn’t wasted… it’s clarity)

Because when things are packed too tightly, you stop seeing what you already own.

And when you stop seeing it… you start buying duplicates.

---

♻️ The real win

A well-built closet quietly changes your habits.

You stop overbuying.
You stop overthinking.
You start re-wearing what you already own in ways that feel fresh again.

And slowly, your closet stops feeling like a storage problem.

It starts feeling like a system that supports your life.

Because the goal isn’t a perfect closet.

It’s a lighter one.

Since my new house will not have a 16x16 walk in closet... give me your best storage /closet pair downs and solutions! Im open to all ideas for spacemaking!

Tonight's dinner was one of those meals where you take the first bite and immediately know you got it right.

Organic beef burgers topped with blue cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, and a pile of slow caramelized onions.

Instead of a bun, I served them over fresh spring greens with just a light touch of mayo, plus homemade ketchup and some bread-and-butter pickles on the side.

The smoky bacon, tangy blue cheese, sweet onions, and rich beef all worked together perfectly.

Nothing trendy.
Nothing complicated.

Just good ingredients treated right.

I have to admit, though... those caramelized onions nearly stole the whole show.

Sometimes the meals you keep thinking about afterward aren't the fancy ones. They're the simple ones made from real food and a little patience.

What was for dinner at your house tonight?

Had a representative from Turning Point stop by today to verify that I was registered to vote, and I have to say I was impressed with the interaction.

The conversation was respectful, professional, and focused entirely on voter registration and civic participation. There was no pressure, no argument, and no attempt to turn the discussion into a political debate.

In a time when so many people expect every conversation to become divisive, it was refreshing to have a positive, straightforward interaction centered on helping citizens stay informed and engaged.

Whether you agree with an organization's views or not, encouraging people to participate in the electoral process is important. An informed electorate is essential to a healthy republic, and making sure people are registered and ready to vote is work that matters.

I appreciate the time they took to stop by and the courteous way they represented their organization.

If you haven't checked your voter registration recently, take a few minutes and make sure your information is up to date. Voting starts long before Election Day.
