Miss Czech Slovak US Pageant

09/19/2026

🎶On National Dance Day, we wanted to take a moment to spotlight current Royal Court members' dance moves! We hope enjoy photos of Miss Czech-Slovak US 2026-2027 Karolina Dvorak performing her talent, Miss Czech-Slovak US 2026-2027 1st Runner-Up Hannah Thomason dancing with Miss Czech-Slovak US 2024-2025 1st Runner- Up Aspen Hein and Miss Czech-Slovak US 2026-2027 2nd Runner-Up Katherine McGee performing with the Sugar Creek Ethnic Dance Troupe.

From the lively rhythms of the polka to the spirited steps of traditional Czech and Slovak folk dances, dance has long been a way to celebrate our heritage, community, and culture.

Today, we're celebrating the joy of movement and the traditions that bring us together. Whether it's dancing in kroj at a festival, performing on stage, or simply joining friends and family on the dance floor, every step helps keep our Czech and Slovak traditions alive for future generations.

🎶 Now it's your turn! Share your favorite dance in the comments or post a photo/video of yourself celebrating National Dance Day and tag us. We'd love to see how you're dancing through the weekend!

On September 12th, 2026-2027 Miss Czech-Slovak US 1st Runner-Up Hannah Thomason had the opportunity to attend Vinobraní in Queens, NY at the Bohemian Hall and B**r Garden. At the festival, Hannah watched the folk groups Limboracik from the Czech-Slovak Learning Center and Vranovcan, a group from Slovakia. Hannah also met Karel Smékal from the Czech Consulate General in New York.

Hannah had a great time presenting herself, watching the folk performances, connecting with festival-goers, and seeing old friends! It was cool for her to explore such a historic building. Built in 1910, it has become a space for Czech and Slovak communities to thrive!

🤍Happy Grandparents Day!🤍

Grandparents hold a special place in our hearts. They share their wisdom, preserve family traditions, offer endless support, and create memories that last a lifetime.

To celebrate Grandparents Day, we asked members of our Royal Court to share a meaningful memory or special message about the grandparents who have impacted their lives.

Today, we honor all grandparents and thank them for the love, guidance, and kindness they bring to our families and communities.
Happy Grandparents Day!

On September 5th and 6th, Miss Czech-Slovak US 1st Runner-Up 2026-2027
Hannah Thomason had the opportunity to attend the Hopsa Tábor Slovak Folk Camp in Long Island, NY.

During this camp over Labor Day weekend, Hannah was able to attend folk dance intensives, participate in outdoor camp activities, help with arts and crafts, sit in on instrumental workshops, present herself during the gala event, and witness the vibrant Slovak community in the Northeast. Given the camp's active outdoor setting and dance-focused atmosphere, Hannah represented the pageant in her alumni association shirt and comfortable attire.

Hannah enjoyed performances by the folk band NOGABAND from Slovakia, as well as the local Slovak folk group Pajtáši, which includes Isabella Valcuha, who represented New Jersey at the 2026 Miss Czech-Slovak US Pageant.
