National Poppy Day 2026 is observed on Friday, May 22, which is the Friday just before Memorial Day weekend. This day of remembrance is dedicated to wearing a red poppy to honor fallen military personnel and support living veterans and their families.
Two of our Jr. Auxiliary members will be around town handing out poppies, this Friday, the 22nd.

The Saline County food pantry is running low on food. So with that being said our unit has placed 2 boxes where you can donate food to. They are located at Food Mesto and Karpiseks market. The boxes will be there until October 30th. Please help stock the shelves. Even though the food pantry is in Crete it is open to anyone who lives in Saline County.

Please join us June 14, 2025 for our Flag Retirement Ceremony, starting at 5, at the Legion park. A lite meal will be served after the ceremonyf you have a flag that needs to be retired, you can drop it off at the Legion building on the east side of the building, it is a brown container. This event is open to the public.🇺🇸
