A HUGE Congratulations to Wilber-Clatonia High School’s own Olivia Bright! We are incredibly excited to share that Olivia has been selected to participate in the prestigious Open Space for the Visual Arts immersion experience at Hastings College.
Out of competitive applicants from across the entire region, Olivia was chosen as one of just 23 young creators. During the week-long program (June 14-20), she will dive into multiple professional studios, including glassblowing, ceramics, painting, sculpture, and printmaking, learning from college faculty and guest artists.
The week concludes with a FREE public exhibition and reception on Saturday, June 20th at 10:00 AM. We hope that you will visit the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center in Hastings to support Olivia and see what she has created!

🇺🇲American Legion Louis-Milan Post and American Auxiliary Unit 101 will be hosting a flag retirement ceremony at the Legion Park in Wilber, June 14th, starting at 5. A lite meal will be served. If you have a flag that needs to be respectfully disposed, meaning no longer fit to display, such as torn , faded you can drop it off at the Legion Park. There is a box on the east side of the building, by the small garage. Or find your local Legion and drop it off there.

National Poppy Day 2026 is observed on Friday, May 22, which is the Friday just before Memorial Day weekend. This day of remembrance is dedicated to wearing a red poppy to honor fallen military personnel and support living veterans and their families.
Two of our Jr. Auxiliary members will be around town handing out poppies, this Friday, the 22nd.
