Recognizing The Bonner/Geelen Family ⭐ We Raise Hope Foster Parent Conference Award Recipients!

Originally licensed as kinship caregivers for a placement that fell through, they felt called to continue their journey. Instead of stepping back, they leaned in.

They applied everything they learned to continue fostering and opening their home to youth, always prioritizing connection, healing, and family. They believe children deserve to experience childhood, free from adult conflict, and they work intentionally to build strong relationships with primary families.

Their journey reflects the heart of foster care: reunification, compassion, and a deep commitment to what is best for each child.

We are seeking Residential Mental Health Technicians to support youth ages 9-17 in our Residential Treatment Program in Grove City. This role provides one-on-one and group support, helping create a safe, trauma-informed environment where young people can grow, heal, and build essential life skills.

As a Mental Health Technician, you will:

We’re excited to spotlight a few of our amazing Foster Care case managers at The Buckeye Ranch who serve families across our Southwest and Central Ohio regions - from Hamilton County all the way east to Muskingum and Coshocton.

This team works tirelessly to support more than 200 foster and kinship families, making sure caregivers and children have the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need. Their dedication shows up in every home visit, every late‑night call, and every moment they spend advocating for the kids and families we serve.

Celebrating the Magnotta/Zabala family ⭐We Raise Hope Foster Parent Award Recipients!

While exploring adoption, the Magnotta/Zabala family discovered a calling to foster care and quickly learned just how much flexibility and perseverance it requires.

With the support of their community, faith, and The Buckeye Ranch team, they successfully supported three placements through reunification. They find meaning in the everyday moments, from school routines to a six-year-old’s excitement about discovering the world.

Their ability to adapt, support every outcome, and center the needs of the youth in their care makes their impact truly extraordinary.

No one should experience mental health challenges alone.

Sadly, many of our youth are struggling in silence. According to data collected by the , more than 40% of adolescents reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in the past year.

Whether you are a family member, caregiver, teacher, neighbor, or friend, your presence can make a difference for a youth who is struggling. Just letting them know they are not alone can have a profound impact.

We have a responsibility to one another to help care for our community, and strengthen access to supports and services for all. Together, we create more good days by choosing empathy, respect, and connection.
