When looking through our history, we noticed some gaps and believe that some of the records were lost when City Hall flooded. It's time to celebrate as another one of our seasoned guys makes the move to "4 Unit" this week. We're having an open house this Thursday, August 31st from 1pm to 3pm to honor Mark Soder's career with us. Mark is retiring as "Badge 2" from 1 Unit with nearly 29 years of service. Please stop by and wish him well!

Please help us congratulate Battalion Chief Del Shepherd on a great career, serving the citizens of Whitehall and surrounding area for 25 years.

BC Shepherd will work his last shift this Thursday, June 8, 2023 and will enter into retirement.

Del started at Whitehall Fire October 6, 1997 after serving our country in the United States Navy. He was promoted to Lieutenant on November 15, 2012 and to Captain/Battalion Chief on February 22, 2019 where he led his shift with a zeal for physical fitness, aggressive fire tactics, compassionate care, and a servant heart.

Del will be sorely missed at WFD and his shoes will be hard to fill. We wish him well in his retirement with his wife Kris and hope he enjoys plans to travel and play some great golf. On behalf of all of us, thank you for your leadership and dedication to the division and our community.

WFD is hosting an open house at Sta. 150 on his last shift (6/08/23) between 1300 - 1500.
