Last night, during our Official Visit, the brethren witnessed a powerful testament to dedication, hard work, and Masonic excellence.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Junior Warden, Brother Guy E. Ford, successfully passed his examination on the lecture and degree work and has officially earned his Proficiency Card!

Earning a proficiency card requires an immense amount of time, discipline, and a deep commitment to the ritual. Brother Ford’s achievement is a perfect example of what it means to truly labor in the craft and continuously seek further light.

Please join us in giving a massive congratulations to Brother Guy E. Ford, JW! Thank you, Brother, for your unwavering determination to improve yourself, inspire your lodges, and contribute so meaningfully to our fraternity.

"On a day so momentous as this—D Day in Europe; in a Day so momentous as this in the destiny of a people, and so vital to the existence of our Craft, no trivial theme can consume our attentions. For in this very hour, tens of thousands of our brethren, who from within our Citadel of Faith, heard the insistent and threatening alarm at the door, grasped from the Arsenal of Democracy, every available sword, and having rushed to the Ramparts Which Masonry ever watches with unceasing vigilance, now are engaged in mortal combat with the implacable foes of our cherished ideals and heritage. This very hour, craftsman Hiram Abiff is slain with violence in a thousand localities, and not nearly in pageantry, but in stark and dread reality. Many of these sat by our side, in this very place, a short year ago. But today they are away. Soon in our lodge may come the word to us that this very day, at the hands of the evil Ruffians, our beloved brethren met evil treatment. Soon in our lodges and in our hearts, acacia and evergreen may remind us that the cost of building the Temple is not yet fully paid, and that we, like our brethren, must labor to the end of our strength and our devotion." - Worshipful Bro. Francis L. Bouquet, June 6th, 1944, D-Day

This past Monday night, White House Lodge 700 F&AM had the distinct honor of hosting our annual Scholarship Dinner. It was our biggest night of giving ever!

We were thrilled to welcome 6 incredible local high school graduates and their families to the Lodge. These young men and women have demonstrated outstanding academics, leadership, and character, and it is our absolute privilege to support them as they transition to colleges and universities this fall.

We were honored to present our awardees with scholarship checks and to provide support for other community needs, totaling over $11,000, which were reinvested directly in our community’s future.

Investing in education and supporting the next generation of leaders is at the very heart of what we do as Masons. To our 2026 scholarship recipients: we are incredibly proud of you, and we cannot wait to see the amazing things you will accomplish in your next chapter!

We are thrilled and deeply honored to announce that White House Lodge 700 has officially earned the 2026 Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency!

Even more exciting? We are the first Masonic Lodge in the entire state to receive this prestigious designation! The Platinum Seal is their highest possible level of recognition, placing our Lodge in the top 1% of nonprofits nationwide for accountability and openness.

What does this mean?

To earn this, we provided comprehensive public reporting on our strategy, metrics, governance, and financials—proving exactly how and where our funds are utilized.

Why this matters to Freemasonry:

Freemasonry has a centuries-long legacy of charity, brotherly love, and community support. By achieving this benchmark, we are showing the world that our commitment to these values is rock-solid. Whether it’s local scholarships, community relief, or charity drives, our neighbors and donors can rest assured that every dollar given to our Lodge is stewarded with the utmost integrity.

"To be the first Lodge in the state to achieve Platinum status is a testament to the hard work of our Brethren and our unwavering commitment to serving our community with total transparency."

Thank you to all the Brothers who worked diligently behind the scenes to make this happen, and to our community for your continued trust and support. We look forward to continuing our charitable mission at the highest standard throughout 2026 and beyond!

On this Memorial Day, the Brethren of White House Lodge 700 F&AM pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

As Freemasons, we are taught to be peaceful citizens, to stand for liberty, and to deeply respect those who defend it. Today is not about politics or barbecues—it is a solemn day of remembrance for the heroes who laid down their lives so that we might live in freedom.

We also remember the many Masonic Brothers throughout history who answered the call to duty and never returned to their home Lodges. Their working tools are laid down, but their legacy of courage, honor, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

To the families of the fallen: Your loved ones’ sacrifices are etched into the fabric of our freedom. We hold you in our thoughts and prayers today.

May we always live in a way that honors their memory.

Brethren,

We have an opportunity to come together and show what Masonry is all about—relief, community, and standing by those who protect us.

A local Robertson County police officer, Greenbrier Officer Matthew Hillis, is facing a major battle after recently suffering an on-duty medical emergency that led to the discovery of a brain tumor. As he undergoes treatment, the medical expenses and daily needs for his family are mounting quickly.

While this charity motorcycle ride is not a direct Lodge event, it has been proudly spearheaded by one of our own Brothers. We want to rally behind his efforts and show our full support for Officer Hillis and his family during this incredibly challenging time.

Let’s work together, show up, and help this family in their time of need. Whether you ride or simply want to contribute and show support, your presence makes a massive difference.

👉 Get all the ride details, route information, and schedule on the official event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1854517411895265

📰 Read more about Officer Hillis's story here: https://www.wkrn.com/news/local-news/greenbrier-officer-crash-seizure-tumor/

Please share this post, spread the word, and let's make this ride a huge success for a local hero.

Officer Matthew Hillis was hurt after his patrol SUV left the roadway near the intersection of Betts Road and Hygeia Road around 4 a.m.
