Monday –Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Snow Days, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. C. Half days, 2:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. Spring Break, Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. (We have a carnival with different events each day with prizes the students can win. It is open to students all across Newaygo County) We would love to network with other Bible Believing churches and ministries to have a great event. Summer Hours- 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays with Christian camp- like activities. (chapel, snacks, crafts, water games, team- building, exercise, and l l/2 hours of free time.)
4. We care about people period. We can have anywhere from 1 student to 16 students on any given day. We are a drop- in center. We want to serve the youth of White Cloud. (This is my hometown).
5. How long has the Center been open? Does it have a 501C3/nonprofit status? Where do we get our funding from? A. We have been serving the community 11 years, going on 12. As of June 30th of last year, we have obtained our 501C3/non-profit status. We take $0 in funding from the State of Michigan or the Federal government. We get our funding from individuals, churches, businesses, and foundations that support the Center’s values and beliefs.
6. What is the Leader Internship Training Program?
1. A jobs training program where 7th and 8th graders gain job skills:
Training them how to work underneath a boss. How to dress for work
D. How to work as a team
E. A little taste of how to do different jobs.
2. Give them consequences for:
A. lack of work ethic
B. Arguing with authority figures, coworkers, parents/adults (customers) lying, stealing, bullying. The consequences are we fire them for the day or the higher negative behavior and more days they’re fired. We counsel them how on a real job they could be fired permanently.
7. What is Parent’s Café? A refreshment time where we mingle with the adults of the students as they pick them up. A prayer ministry – we take time to pray with or for any needs the family has.
