🤍 Meet the White-breasted Nuthatch — the upside-down bird of the forest! 🌳
Famous for climbing headfirst down tree trunks, these curious little birds are full of personality.

🪶 Fun Facts:
• Their nasal “yank-yank” call is easy to recognize!
• They stash seeds in bark crevices for winter — nature’s tiny hoarders.
• They often join mixed flocks with chickadees and woodpeckers.

🪶 Fun Facts:
• Found in the deserts of the Southwest, they prefer brushy canyons and thorny thickets.
• Their plumage gets brighter with age — young males take years to reach full brilliance!
• Despite their vibrant colors, they’re shy and often tricky to spot in the wild.

Say hello to the Purple Finch — the bird once described as “a sparrow dipped in raspberry juice!” 🍇

Fun Facts:
- Despite its name, it’s actually more pinkish-red than purple.
- They love sunflower seeds and are frequent winter feeder visitors.
- Males serenade females with soft, warbling songs during courtship.
