🇺🇸 **Wheaton Lions Welcome Special Guest Speaker Meg Carman** 🇺🇸

This week, the Wheaton Lions were honored to host Meg Carman from Operation Support Our Troops (OSOT)

OSOT's mission is to support the morale and wellbeing of American service members and their families, both during deployment and after they return home. Through comfort packages, personal letters, cards, and notes from caring citizens, OSOT creates a meaningful connection between communities and the men and women serving our country.

In addition to supporting deployed troops, OSOT is dedicated to helping veterans and the families of fallen service members through programs that provide hope, healing, and awareness.

Thank you, Meg, for sharing the important work of Operation Support Our Troops and for inspiring us with the many ways communities can show appreciation and support for those who serve. 🇺🇸💙

🦁 A big thank you to Tuesday's speaker, Stephanie Touzalin, Wildlife Education Supervisor for the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, for her informative presentation about coyotes in DuPage County.

Stephanie shared valuable insights about coyote behavior, their role in the local ecosystem, and how residents can safely coexist with these fascinating animals. Our members enjoyed learning more about the wildlife that calls DuPage County home and left with a greater understanding of the importance of conservation and education.

Thank you, Stephanie, for an engaging and educational program! 🌳🐾

🍂💙 What an Incredible Team Effort!💙🍂

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered, donated, and worked so hard during our recent collection events. Together, we collected an amazing 9,696 pounds of donations, generating $1,383 in cash proceeds and creating an estimated community impact value of $6,915!

Our volunteers dedicated 38 total hours across 19 shifts, moving nearly 10,000 pounds of food@. That's an average of more than 255 pounds every hour and over 500 pounds per shift!

Most importantly, this success was made possible by the 54 volunteers who stepped up to serve. Whether you worked a shift, helped with setup, welcomed donors, or spread the word, your efforts made a real difference.

These numbers tell an impressive story, but what they don't capture is the dedication, teamwork, and Lions spirit shown throughout each event. We are proud of what our club can accomplish when we work together for our community.

👏 Thank you to every volunteer who rolled up their sleeves and helped make this event such a success. We couldn't do it without you!
