Not only did they brighten our day with delicious drinks, but they delivered them in the middle of a storm! 😳

🚚📦 Moving Day! 📦🚚
Our FACT Team spent the day relocating our Snacks in a Backpack operations to Airport Road Intermediate School while renovations begin at the Family Resource Center.
We’re excited to be making room for a brand new, larger Snacks in a Backpack storage room with shelving that will allow us to expand the program and serve even more children across Elmore County!
A huge thank you to Airport Road Intermediate School, Millbrook AL for providing space for our program over the next six months. Community partnerships like this make a tremendous difference.
Special thanks to Gina Pellegrino and her crew at Domino’s Pizza in Millbrook for donating lunch for our staff as they raced to get everything moved before the storms rolled in!

📢 Weather Update 📢 June 18, 2026

Due to the forecasted severe weather, including heavy rainfall and the potential for tornadoes, the Elmore County Family Resource Center will close today at 12:00 PM to ensure the safety of our staff and families.

Additionally, tonight’s Foster & Adoptive Parent Support Group has been canceled. Please help us spread the word to anyone who may be planning to attend.

The safety of our community is our top priority. We encourage everyone to stay weather-aware, take necessary precautions, and stay safe.

Class is on! We will meet under the pavilion and assess the weather and then decide if we’re going walk. If not, we’ll stay under cover for bodyweight strength and stretch with a pelvic floor / core/ b***y focus. Let’s go mamas!

💙 Foster & Adoptive Parent Support Night 💙

One of the most important things we can do as foster and adoptive parents is connect with others who understand the unique joys, challenges, and realities of this journey. There is something powerful about sitting in a room with people who can relate to the season of life you’re in, encourage one another, share resources, and remind each other that you’re not alone.

Join us for our Foster & Adoptive Parent Support Night! This month’s agenda includes:

✨ Encouragement and support
✨ Helpful resources and information
✨ Time for discussion and questions

💙 Foster & Adoptive Parent Support Group 💙
If you're a foster, adoptive, or kinship family, we would love for you to join us at our upcoming quarterly support group!
This group is more than just a meeting, it's a safe space to connect with other families who understand the unique joys and challenges that come with this journey. It's an opportunity to build community, share experiences, encourage one another, and simply be with people who get it.
And for the kids? They get a chance to play, laugh, and make friends without having to explain their story. They're surrounded by other children and families who understand what "different" can look like and that's a powerful thing.
🍽️ Dinner is provided.
🧸 Childcare is provided from birth to teens.
Because we want to make sure we have enough food and adequate childcare staff for everyone attending, please let us know if you plan to join us by contacting us using the information on the flyer.
