We’ve all boarded the ferry and everything is on time and according to plan (because of course it is!)

It’s been a great weekend!

Troop 85 is currently where you should all be at this point in the summer: knee deep in the water, hunting crabs, crawling over rocks and drawing in the sand with sticks.

9/17 is new scout joining night.

This morning, Troop 85 woke up on Block Island. After breakfast, they biked down to Pond & Beyond for some kayaking.

Soon we’ll return to our camp site for lunch. Beautiful weather, a great day so far and a perfect start to our new program year.

Some of these kids were Cub Scout Pack 85 WethersfieldCub Scouts just a few months ago! Time flies. Get outdoors.

Sandsland Scout Reservation, Block Island.

We’ve arrived at our campsite, set up our tents, and are now making our fire and setting up for evening camaraderie. Tomorrow is kayaking, fishing/swimming, and exploring the island.

Scouts have landed on Block Island. Everyone is getting on their bicycles for the bike ride to the campsite.

Troop 85 and all of Wethersfield Scouting wishes the youth and families of this most ancient town in Connecticut a great start to the school year!

And while the Scout Motto is “Be Prepared,” the Cub Scout Motto of “Do Your Best” serves equally well for today and every day.

Be yourself, be willing to try new things, and, well…..Be Prepared!

We offer a full year of activities for youth in grades 6-12, and have many members who participate alongside busy sports and activity schedules. Come by to learn more!
