Friends of Sherwood Island State Park The Friends of Sherwood Island State Park is a volunteer advocacy group whose mission is to enhance the Park & educate the public about its resources.

Sherwood Island is a State Park, operated by CT DEEP. To contact the state: [email protected] The Nature Center is open in the summer Wednesday - Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. The Park is open from 8:00 am daily and closes at sunset, year-round. The Friends' of Sherwood Island SP have no management role in the Park.
