Westmont IL Lions Club

Westmont IL Lions Club Chartered on January 8, 1936, the Westmont Lions Club is the oldest and one of the most dedicated service organizations in the Village of Westmont.

The Westmont Lions Club is a community organization serving the community in Vision, Hearing, Diabetes, Youth, Humanitarian, Hunger, Environment,… through fundraising events/activities. Over the past 80+ years, the Westmont Lions Club has risen to Helen Keller's challenge to become the ``knights of the blind'' by soliciting referrals from schools, medical facilities and community centers to send c

hildren and adults, who need assistance, but cannot afford the cost for eye exams, eye glasses and hearing aids. Each year we have helped 50 or more to see and hear better. Since the 1970’s we have awarded two 5th grade students (1 boy and 1 girl) from a Westmont School. Students are selected not because they get the best grades, but because they are the best student and classmate. Each year we hold a Scholarship Dinner Night and award monetary scholarships to Westmont Seniors, who attend a local high school in the Westmont area. We have fun with pancake breakfasts, ice cream socials, parades, barbeques, carnivals, Octoberfest and much more! Feel free to peruse through our website pages, to view our many service activities, projects and fundraisers as we conduct them throughout the year. If you or your friends or families would like to know more about us feel free to contact us. Maybe you just want to know more of what we do for our community or what Lions throughout the world do. Come join us! We are proud to say that we have become a pillar of service to the Village of Westmont. We welcome new members!

Lion Bob continued to serve our community by dropping off another supply of food items to Dupage Pads.

Michelle from Dupage Pads sent a lovely thank you to the Westmont Lions Club for all of our contributions this past spring.

DuPage Pads… We appreciate your gratitude and all the work that you do for our community.
It’s a pleasure working with you!

Good morning, Carla.
We cannot express enough gratitude for all the amazing support that Westmont Lions provided DuPagePads this spring … and at a time when children are finishing school for the summer and will be seeking additional nourishment at our Interim Housing Center. Many, many thanks for everything your club has done for us! 🧡
With warmest regards,
Michelle

The Westmont Lions Club is proud to support the launch of the EmpowerHER Collective, a community initiative coordinated by Lion Krystal in partnership with local schools, community organizations, local provider offices, and the Westmont Public Library. The initiative is focused on increasing access to essential hygiene products, education, and empowerment for girls and women in our community.

Donations including pads, tampons, and other hygiene products were delivered to Westmont High School to help support students in need. The initiative is already bringing together incredible community partnerships to help create educational opportunities, support services, and open conversations that break stigma and promote dignity.

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue expanding this effort throughout Westmont and DuPage County through community drives, outreach events, education, and collaboration with local organizations and student leadership groups. We will also be working alongside the Lions Club Leo Program to help engage local students in meaningful service opportunities that build leadership, confidence, and community involvement.

Be on the lookout for upcoming drives, community events, and outreach happening throughout the summer, along with our Women and Girls Day event planned for October. This event will be open to everyone, as education, awareness, and support take all of us working together.

Creating cycles of support for girls and women, one act of care at a time.

Leo the Lion had a great time dancing in the street at the Spring Fling over the weekend.
He wants to thank everyone that came out to the fling and helped support the Westmont Lions Club.
