On June 7, 2021, schools closed again throughout Uganda due to a spike in Coronavirus cases throughout the country. Due to the lack of distance learning, St. Raphael's responded by opening the school to Grades 4 - 6 on Mondays for a brief period of time so that they can pick up homework assignments and review corrections from the prior week's work. The return to school is unknown. Vaccination rates are low due to logistical and technological challenges.

Time for some good news! In June, 445 lbs. (202 kgs.) of nambale beans were harvested and brought to the school for threshing and drying before storing in silos to prevent pests and mold. Once school resumes, the students will enjoy them as part of the lunch program.
