Words That Move Us 🦉

Leave it to Betty White to figure out the real secret to staying young, and for it to have nothing to do with what you eat or how much you sleep.

There is real truth in that. The people who stay the most alive tend not to be the ones chasing their own comfort. They are the ones still checking in on a neighbor, still showing up, still finding small ways to make someone else's day a little better. That keeps you connected, and staying connected is what keeps you young.

Westminster is full of people exactly like that, and we are grateful for every one of them 🤝

Words That Move Us 🦉

The smallest thing you do for someone can be the thing they remember for years.

You might hold a door, cover a tab, or just sit with someone on a hard day. To you it is nothing, and you have forgotten it by morning. But for the person on the other end, that may have been the moment that got them through the day. Dickens understood that more than a century ago, and people still feel it the same way today.

You never know which small moment will be the one someone holds onto 🤝

A house fire took almost everything from Caroline's family 🙏

Her two kids, her mom, and her grandmother lost almost everything they had. Caroline posted about it in a local Facebook group, and Carl saw it.

He did not hesitate, and he immediately starting ordering new Nike shoes for her family!

When she got them all she said was "Thank you very much, this means so much!" That right there is why we do this.

Carl is part of the Dark Desire Window Tint and Vinyl family and also runs Paradigm Fi****ms Training . We did not tell him to do this, and we did not have to. He saw someone who needed help and he stepped up immediately.

Words That Move Us 🦉

Henry Ford changed the way the world moves, and he still believed none of it counted unless you were giving back more than you were taking.

Most people measure success by what someone has, but Ford measured it by what someone gives. Are you putting more into the world than you are taking from it?

That is a question every business owner, every neighbor, and every person in this community gets to answer every single day. The ones who quietly choose to put more in are the reason that the world is place that is actually worth living in.

Memorial Day is more than a holiday. It is a reminder to stop and be grateful for the people whose courage built the communities we get to call home.

Words That Move Us 🦉

A lot of people spend their whole lives trying to answer the question of what their purpose is, and they look inward for the answer. Martin Luther King Jr. believed the question was pointed in the wrong direction.

His version of the question was simple. What are you doing for others? Not what you are building, not what you are earning, but who around you is better off because you showed up.

The honest part is that the answer is never finished. There is always someone next to you who could use a hand, and there is always something you have the capacity to give. The people who keep asking themselves that question tend to be the people you want to surround yourself with.

What if the purpose you have been searching for is found in helping others? 🤝
