Every year on the 4th Sunday in August, Good Shepherd Catholic Church holds its Sunday service at Pioneer Park in Westfield. Today God blessed us with a gorgeous day to celebrate Mass outside. After Mass which was celebrated by Fr. Randy, the men’s group served up yummy shredded pork sandwiches while the rest of the parishioners brought their favorite sides to serve along. Thank you to all the men for their hard work in planning this day. Many people were lucky to win door prizes and the money from the 50/50 raffle will be donated to the religious ed program. Congratulations to all the winners of the many different raffles. 😇

Since 2019 Good Shepherd CCW has organized a booth called Catholic Church of Marquette County at the Marquette County Fair. Parishioners from Good Shepherd, Westfield, St. John the Baptist, Montello and St. Mary’s Help of Christians, Briggsville are asked to spend 2 hours greeting attendees of the fair. It is a wonderful way to evangelize our Catholic faith. We offer for free rosary’s, DVD’s, books, prayer cards and lots of other Catholic resources. Thank you to all who volunteered your time this year especially with the heat and smoke from the fire, it made it a bit uncomfortable.
