Many of us loved to play with little 4-wheeled scooters as kids, so we decided to see what the monkeys would think of them.

While they didn’t quite use them in the way that most of us would, they still provided fun for monkeys like Jojo, who found the spinning wheels quite entertaining!

Apparently, our monkeys also felt that we put the scooter in their enclosure upside down - they almost unanimously flipped the scooter over so that the wheels were facing up!

"When most people think about working in a monkey sanctuary, they picture the exciting moments—the first time a monkey accepts a new enrichment item, seeing a new friendship blossom between compatible residents, or watching a monkey enjoy a sunny afternoon outside.

Those moments are certainly special.

But if we’re being honest, sanctuary work is made up of many moments that aren’t exciting."

Rocky isn't much of a "toy" guy. He's more of a "foraging for Junior's scraps" kind of guy. However, a toy tambourine recently caught his attention! Being noisy isn't new to Rocky, so he quickly needed to check out the new noise making device.

We regularly do toy swaps for all of our monkeys, to ensure they all have a variety to check out & hone their musical skills with!

Consider checking out our Amazon list here with all of the toys, supplies, and treats we'd love to give the monkeys: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1BACVSS19YUM4

🍂 Hello, Fall! 🍂
The leaves begin to tumble,
The crisp air starts to call,
And here at the sanctuary,
We’re welcoming the fall.

The days grow a little quieter,
The sunshine soft and low,
And Batman finds his favorite thing—
A leaf pile overflow! 🍁🐒

A rustle here, a crunch there,
A treasure waiting below…
For our monkeys, fall brings enrichment
In every leaf they stow.

So here’s to cooler mornings,
To golden leaves that fall,
And all the little moments that
Make autumn special for all. 🍂

Happy 1st Day of Fall from Primates Incorporated! 🐒🍁

Mars has his eye on you!

Primate Behaviorist, Breanne, was able to capture this silly picture of Mars peeking between his legs. It is through a lot of patience and trust building that our staff are able to capture fun moments like these. And Mars clearly isn't too camera shy!
