🐾 Meet Matilda 🐾

This adorable little girl is just 8 months old and is once again searching for her forever family. We truly thought we had found the perfect home for her, but unfortunately it just wasn't the right fit. Now we're determined to find the family that is meant for this sweet pup.

As you can see from her photos, Matilda absolutely adores children. She is a happy, social puppy who thrives on companionship and playtime.

Please read carefully before applying, as the following requirements are NON-NEGOTIABLE:
✅ A fully fenced, secure yard where she can safely run and play
✅ Children in the home (she loves kids!)
✅ At least one, preferably two, friendly canine siblings to help keep her social and active
✅ Someone who is home much of the day and able to continue her puppy training and potty-training skills
✅ You must be within 3 hours of our rescue

Matilda is still a puppy and needs a family committed to helping her continue to learn and grow. She is not a dog that will do well being left alone for long hours each day.
Please do not apply if you do not meet the criteria listed above.

Hurley's Heart Bulldog Rescue is located on Long Island, New York. We do not ship dogs, and adopters must be willing to travel to meet her.

If you think your family is the perfect match for Matilda, we'd love to hear from you. ❤️

Well, hello, Zoya!

This adorable little petite Frenchie is looking for her forever home, and trust us when we say she is going to steal your heart.
Zoya absolutely loves her two foster fur siblings (both Frenchies) and is a happy, playful girl. She enjoys romping around with her furry sisters just as much as she loves snuggling on the couch with her foster mom and dad.

We estimate Zoya is only about 1 to 1½ years old, so she still has plenty of puppy energy. Because of that, we would love to see her in a home with another playful dog that can keep up with her and enjoy all of life's adventures together. A fully fenced, secure yard is also a must for this active little girl.
Because Zoya is still young and full of energy, we feel she would do best in a home with older children. She can get very excited when she's playing and may accidentally knock over or jump on smaller children without meaning to.

We feel Zoya would fit in well with most families. While we cannot guarantee how she would do with cats, we can guarantee that she will bring endless love, laughter, and joy to the lucky family that adopts her.

If you're interested in applying for Zoya, Hurley's Heart Bulldog Rescue is located on Long Island, New York. We do not ship dogs, and we keep our adoptions within approximately three hours of the rescue.
If you fit that criteria, please visit our page and review our pinned "How to Adopt" post for complete adoption information and application instructions.
Zoya is ready to find her forever family. Could it be you?

I would also add that she's looking for a home with another playful dog, since it sounds like she really thrives having a canine buddy to burn off all that puppy energy with.

🌸Meet Frida🌸

Looking for the perfect mix of playful and cuddly? Frida might just be your girl!

This adorable sweetheart loves spending her days running and playing in a fenced yard with her furry foster sibling, then curling up on the couch for snuggles when playtime is over. Frida is great with kids, enjoys going on walks and making new canine friends.

When she’s not having fun, you’ll find her doing one of her favorite activities—sunbathing and soaking up every ray she can find! ☀️

Frida is searching for a loving home with a fenced-in backyard where she can safely play, explore, and enjoy the sunshine she loves so much.

Could this precious 3 year old pink-harness princess be the missing piece of your family? 🩷🐾

We are located on Long Island in NY. We do not ship dogs, we require you to come meet the dog.

✨ Frida – The Holy Grail of Frenchies ✨

This little munchkin is quite possibly the cutest thing ever! Just look at that beautiful face. But Frida isn't just adorable—she has the sweetest personality to match.

Frida loves kids, adores her foster fur sibling, and enjoys prancing around the yard. With the warmer weather, we make sure she's monitored closely, but she absolutely loves her morning zoomies before the heat sets in. She's also learning to walk on a leash. She still pulls a little, but she's making great progress every day.

Frida's perfect family would have: 🐾 Children to love and play with 🐾 Another friendly dog, preferably a Frenchie or similar-sized companion 🐾 A securely fenced yard where she can safely run around and enjoy her favorite pastime—a few minutes of morning sunbathing

If you think Frida sounds like the perfect addition to your family, we'd love to hear from you!

Hurley's Heart Bulldog Rescue is located on Long Island, New York. Please see our pinned Facebook post for adoption information and application instructions.

Please note: • We do not ship dogs. • Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog. • We generally place our dogs within approximately three hours of our rescue.

Thank you for considering adoption and helping us give dogs like Frida the forever homes they deserve. ❤️

Of course, you all know that we have been hit with so many medical dogs lately. Our intake is currently closed, but Sylvia is another dog we simply could not turn a blind eye to.

Thankfully, a wonderful Good Samaritan found her lying in the middle of a road in the Miami heat, with temperatures over 100 degrees. Sylvia was actively having seizures in the street. When the Good Samaritan discovered that Sylvia belonged to someone just a few doors away, she immediately went to the owner's home. Shockingly, the woman came outside, grabbed Sylvia, and threw her back into the yard.
But this incredible woman refused to give up.
She went back, pleaded with the owner to surrender Sylvia and give her a chance at a better life. Finally, the owner's son came outside carrying Sylvia and said, "Here, take the dog. My mom doesn't want her anyway."
It's a heartbreaking story, but thank goodness for people who refuse to look the other way.

Sylvia was rushed to the veterinarian, where treatment began immediately. Her seizures are currently under control with medication, but she still has a long road ahead. Her eye is in very bad condition, and right now we are doing everything possible to reduce the pressure and hopefully save it. She also has a large growth in her mouth that will need to be addressed, but our immediate focus is getting her stable and ensuring she doesn't suffer any more seizures.

We are incredibly grateful to the amazing foster who stepped up to care for Sylvia and help her through this difficult journey.
Please keep Sylvia in your thoughts and prayers. She has not had an easy life, and she needs all the love and support she can get right now.

As always, I hate having to ask, but these medical cases are extremely costly. If you can spare the cost of a cup of coffee, every single dollar helps us continue our mission of saving dogs like Sylvia.

Thank you all for always showing up for the dogs and for helping us give them the second chances they deserve. ❤️ :::

Happy 1st Birthday, Melba Toast 🥂🍞
Once upon a time, there was a tiny French bulldog named Melba Toast 🍞🥂✨

Sweet Melba was born with a congenital heart defect, and doctors weren’t sure how much time she’d have. But then, she was rescued by and welcomed into a family who loved her endlessly from day one. Even knowing she was a hospice pup, they chose to give her the happiest, most spoiled, most love-filled life imaginable 💕🐾

And on June 10, 2026… a miracle happened 🎉

Miss Melba Toast made it to her 1st birthday!!! 🥹🎂 All the bulldogs in the land rejoiced while her family celebrated with funfetti cupcakes, presents, cuddles, and so much love 🧁🎁✨

A little fairytale reminding us all that strength, love, and a happy heart can create magic 💖

***EXPLICIT VIDEO IN COMMENTS!!!!

When you get that call, and you know your intake has been closed—or at the very least, extremely limited—you still can't say no when it's an emergency.

We've had two emergencies in just the past few days, and despite how challenging things have been, we stepped in because these dogs desperately needed help. Thankfully, we were able to secure the foster homes needed for when they're ready to leave the hospital.

This sweet little girl, now named Cupcake, really needed us. She was rushed straight to the emergency vet, where she is currently being treated for pyometra, a life-threatening infection. She will be undergoing an emergency spay, and right now she's receiving IV fluids, strong antibiotics, and around-the-clock care.

We're hopeful that Cupcake will make a full recovery. Despite everything she's been through, she is incredibly sweet and has won over everyone caring for her. She's allowing the veterinary staff to do everything they need to help her heal.

Please keep Cupcake in your thoughts and prayers as she fights her way through this.
And as much as we hate to ask, every little bit truly helps. Emergency cases like this are costly, but saying no was never an option. If you're able to contribute toward Cupcake's care, please click the donate button.

Thank you all for your continued support, prayers, and belief in our mission.

❤️ Prayers for Cupcake and a speedy recovery.

Who wouldn't want to foster one of these cuties?

We know we say it all the time, but fostering truly saves lives. Without our incredible foster community, our rescue simply couldn't do what it does. In all honesty, we'd be dead in the water.

We do not believe dogs belong in kennels. While there are times when temporary boarding is necessary to get a dog to safety while we search for a foster home, our goal is always to have our dogs living in real homes with real families.

When a dog is in a foster home, we get to learn their personality, their quirks, their likes and dislikes, and what type of forever home will help them thrive. Most importantly, they get to experience love, comfort, and security while they wait for their happily ever after.

These dogs deserve more than a kennel run. They deserve a soft couch, a warm bed, a full belly, and a family to love them.

If you are located in New York, on Long Island, or close by, please send us a message. We would love to tell you more about fostering and how you can help save a life.

Please consider opening your home and your heart to a dog in need. Fostering saves lives, and sometimes it is the difference between a dog having a chance or not.

Thank you for being part of our village.
