If you’re looking for a family-friendly event that will get you into the Halloween spirit without the haunting frights of Spooky Walk, join us for Not-So-Spooky Walk on Sunday, October 26 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Clark Botanic Garden. Be sure to dress in your favorite costume! The event is suitable for children of all ages.

Admission is $5 CASH ONLY.

The Yes We Can Community Center Mural finally made its debut! Thank you to our community leaders, artists, speakers, supporters and volunteers for your contributions to bring this vision to life! North Hempstead’s community center unveiled a new mural on Saturday in honor of the late civil rights icon Dr. Hazel Dukes and Westbury’s diversity.

🎉 Exciting News 🎨

We’re thrilled to announce that Marie Saint-cyr of Saint-Cyr Art Studio has been selected as the artist for the mural project at the Yes We Can Community Center! We’re excited to see her design come to life!

About the Artist
Marie E. Saint-Cyr is a Visual Artist, Muralist, and the Founder & CEO of Saint-Cyr Art Studio, a full-service mural agency. In 2018, Marie graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology and studied Studio Art at the Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, Italy. In just 3 years Marie was awarded a one-year residency with the Haiti Cultural Exchange, an art and business fellowship with the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, started her 1 million dollar mural company, participated in 11+ Business development programs such as Goldman Sachs and Tuck school of business; all while creating employment opportunities for artists and engaging communities in the mural making process. When she is not painting or running her business, Marie can be found traveling the world and trying out new foods.

Community Connections of Long Island (CCLI) is excited to announce a Call for Artists for a new mural at the Yes We Can Community Center in Westbury, New Cassel! This is your chance to showcase your talent and be part of a vibrant community art project.

This mural is part of an amazing collaboration with CCLI and Town of North Hempstead - Government Community Development Agency (CDA), and a huge thank you to Westbury Arts for helping us spread the word!

Join us in creating the first of many murals celebrating the culture, diversity, and unity of the Westbury area!

Thanksgiving Day Turkey Giveaway! 🦃🍂

This Thursday, November 28th from 12 PM - 2 PM, we’re coming together to spread some holiday cheer and provide 💯 fully cooked turkey breasts with all the fixings to the Westbury, New Cassel community! 🎉

📍 Location: First Baptist Cathedral Parking Lot
📍 Address: 212 Garden Street, Westbury, NY

🦃 Each box includes:
• 1 fully cooked turkey breast
• 2 sides & dinner rolls (serves 6-8 people)

🥇 First come, first served while supplies last!

We’re proud to partner with , , and to ensure everyone in the community can enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. 🍽️❤️

💪 Youth from will be on-site helping distribute meals as part of our mission to give back and address food insecurity in our community.

Bonus: and the Soup Kitchen, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and other volunteers who will be preparing, serving and delivering meals to neighbors in need! 🙌🏽
