We have one more weekend for Cuckoo's Nest at Kelsey, but here's an interesting tidbit about Sidney Lassick who played Cheswick in the movie. James Zimmerman plays him in our show. Three more chances to catch him and the rest of this talented cast this weekend... www.kelseytheatre.org for tickets!

Sydney Lassick’s intense method acting became a source of genuine concern for the cast, crew, and producers.

The hospital’s superintendent, Dr. Dean Brooks (who also played Dr. Spivey in the film), reportedly told director Miloš Forman and producer Michael Douglas, "If things get out of control, we have the proper medication" to calm Lassick down.

Lassick secured the role of Charlie Cheswick in part by arriving at his audition wearing a rope as a belt, a character-driven choice that signaled his deep commitment to the role.
