Welcome to USRowing, Joel Shinofield!

USRowing has appointed Joel Shinofield as its new Chief Executive Officer following a six-month national search that engaged more than 200 members of the rowing community.

Joel brings three decades of experience in Olympic sport, most recently serving as Managing Director, Sport Development at USA Swimming. Throughout his career, he has focused on strengthening athlete pathways, supporting members and coaches, expanding access, and building stronger sports organizations.

A novice rower himself with long-standing ties to the rowing community, Joel will spend the coming weeks and months meeting with rowing leaders and community members across the country as he begins his tenure.

We’re excited to welcome Joel and begin this next chapter together as we build toward LA28 and beyond.
