Our Chamber member, MPLX Sherwood Facility, is partnering with the American Red Cross to host the 2nd Annual Derek Sheppard Blood Drive this June.

Blood donations play a critical role in helping patients facing emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and other medical needs. By donating, you’re helping provide hope and support to families when they need it most.

This meeting is an important step in creating a plan for long-term rural prosperity along the trail systems that connect our communities — including the North Bend Rail Trail right here in Doddridge County.

Trails are part of a growing outdoor economy and have the potential to bring new opportunities to our area — from supporting local businesses to enhancing quality of life — but it all starts with community input.

Whether you’re a resident, business owner, trail user, or simply someone who cares about the future of our county, your voice matters in this process.

Co-hosted by the Doddridge County Economic Development Authority, North Bend Rails-to-Trails Foundation, Inc., and North Bend Rail Trail State Park.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in our recent **Candidate Nights** — from the candidates who took the time to share their perspectives, to the community members who showed up, asked thoughtful questions, and stayed engaged.

A special thank you to **Greg Cottrill** for serving as our moderator and helping guide meaningful and respectful conversations throughout the evenings.

We also appreciate those who submitted questions and took the time to review candidate questionnaires — your involvement is what makes events like this impactful.

Community conversations like these matter. When we show up, stay informed, and listen to one another, we help strengthen Doddridge County for everyone.

We love a good reason to get outside and give back🌿

Our friends at MP/LX – Sherwood Plant are hosting an Earth Day Rail Trail Clean-Up this Thursday, April 30 — because every day can be Earth Day 🌎 — and the Chamber is planning to participate!

We’ve joined in years past and it’s always a great time — a simple way to support our local trail, connect with others, and take part in something positive for our community.

If you’d like to join us in supporting MP/LX and helping care for the Rail Trail, we’d love to have you!
