💛♥️💙We have just 1 day left to raise $780,000 for our Partner Agencies!

This is it, the final day. Today we highlight The Gabriel Project, providing diapers, formula, clothing, cribs, car seats, and compassionate support to families with infants and young children. They ensure babies have a safe, healthy start regardless of their family’s circumstances. Every dollar helps a child get a stronger beginning.

Let’s show what Harrison and Doddridge Counties can do when we unite! 💛♥️💙

In light of the flooding, it is essential to ensure your tetanus/tdap shot is up to date if you are involved in the relief efforts. Please call the Health Department at your convenience between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or reach out to us with any questions. Exercise caution.

The Doddridge County Family Resource Network expanded our outreach by visiting the Doddridge County Health Department on the scheduled day for DC families participating in WIC. This outreach increased awareness to healthcare services as well as provided additional local service information, mental health resources, nutrition guidance and fun free items to the visiting families. We are happy to have connected with 8 adults and 9 children. The DCFRN is thankful for collaboration with the DC Health Department and WIC and look forward to repeating this outreach again in June.

Services are provided by a grant from the WV Department of Human Services Bureau for Family Assistance. For more information, please contact the DCFRN, 304-873-1245.

The DCFRN was happy to participate in volunteer day with EQT Corporation! We love spending time with volunteers and they worked hard! A great group tackled the landscaping around our Community Resource Area at the West Union City Park / Doddridge County Farmers Market area. This Community Resource Area has a Blessing Box, Sharing Library and Bulletin Board. The volunteers even donated funds to stock the Blessing Box! Thanks so much!

2026 Rise Above Scholarship Awarded

Five years ago, the Doddridge County Family Resource Network announced our intent to establish a Doddridge County High School Graduate Scholarship Fund. In collaboration with the Holistic Child Department at Doddridge County Schools, this scholarship is intended for a student needing extra support and encouragement to pursue post-secondary training and/or education. We are proud to announce that we are awarding our fifth Rise Above Scholarship. This scholarship is supported with generous financial contributions from Doddridge County community members. As a community, we encourage graduates to pursue opportunities to help build futures.

This year’s recipient will be receiving a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to aid with tuition and expenses as he pursues a career in Information Technology.

Mr. Nikolas Marple

Nikolas has proven to be someone who can RISE ABOVE what life has dealt him. He has worked hard to overcome personal barriers and focus on his educational goals. Keeping his goals in mind, Nikolas is able to rise above any distractions and move forward to master a difficult skill or situation. Nikolas has been accepted to Salem University to study Information Technology. With help from the Rise Above Scholarship, we support his dream.

We wish you all the luck Nikolas! Congratulations!
