Doddridge County Deputy Sheriff's Association Created to strengthen the relationship between the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Office and those it serves.

The Doddridge County Deputy Sheriff's Association is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of serving the community of Doddridge County. Our mission is to partner with the community through positive interaction and meaningful programs that emphasize cooperation, professionalism and ethical behavior. In addition, the Association has adopted the following objectives:
*Support community-b

ased charities and causes.
*Provide aid and assistance to families in the County who have an immediate need.
*Strengthen the relationship between the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Office and those it protects.
*Promote social fellowship and well-being of it’s members.
*Support the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Office in it’s mission to protect and serve the citizens of Doddridge County.

The elves at the Doddridge County Deputy Sheriff’s Association have been busy purchasing and wrapping gifts this year! With the support of our community, we were able to adopt 47 Doddridge County children (Lambs) from the Doddridge County Family Resource Network’s Good Shepherd Tree program. We thank all those who donated to or attended our fundraiser events. We would also like to thank our members who are always willing to help out to make our events successful. This time of year, they merrily take on the duties of Christmas Elves as we shop for, wrap and deliver presents to Ms. Laura and Ms. Crystal at the FRN. Those two must have a direct line to the North Pole as their organization and efficiency are second to none! God Bless and Merry Christmas!!!

The trail has been marked ! Here are a few photos showing what to expect on our ride In the morning. We have orange arrows spray painted on the roads and orange ribbon to mark the trail At the intersections. Some intersections have “ride” signs made with an arrow pointing the way.
We ask that while riding if you see a house then you MUST slow down. We also ask that you STAY. ON. THE. TRAIL. and out of fields or yards. We have Yellow Caution lines up to prohibit any riders to cross into adjacent fields.
Understand that Without the cooperation of the land owners rides like these would not be possible.

Looking for something fun to do this Saturday, 9/27? Come out and ride the trails at our 2nd Annual Ride for Nate Memorial ATV ride. The launch point for the ride is 3378 WV Rt. 18S. $15 per rider with proceeds going toward the Association’s efforts to help Doddridge County families in times of need. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the ride starts at 10:00. The approximately 55 mile trail will be clearly marked and safe for families. In addition to the ride, the West Union Fire Department will have concessions available and there are many nice items for raffle and silent auction. Pictured below are some of the many craft items available to win throughout the day. There will also be a recliner, a gun rack, tattoo gift cards from local tattoo shops, car detailing gift cards and seasonal baskets galore! Come out for a fun day of riding, food and fellowship….all for a great cause!

Calling on all of our crafty friends: we are accepting donations of items and/or crafts that can be added to our basket raffle for our ATV Benefit ride on 9/27. Proceeds from the ride will go to support the various programs of the Association including the purchase of Christmas gifts and more for families and children who have suffered hardship in the County. ATTENTION ALL RIDERS !!! The date has been set and the location has been made for The 2nd Annual Nate Memorial Ride !!!! So load up your buggies, atvs or dirt bikes, download your favorite play list and be ready for a great ride!

Join us September 27th 2025 at 3378 WV Rt 18 South, West Union WV 26456 for a fun filled day of trail riding!!! This location will be in the big field on the right just south of Snowbird Rd on Rt. 18. Registration will start at 0800am and the ride will begin at 1000am . Cost will be 15$ a person.

There will be delicious food provided by The West Union Volunteer Fire Department. We will also be raffling off gift baskets full of amazing gifts! So bring some extra cash!

Remember, all proceeds from this event will be used for Association programs designed to assist children and families in Doddridge County during times of need.

It’s that time of year again ! We are currently planning our 2nd Annual Ride for Nate Memorial Ride !! We will have a date kicked out in the couple days!

All Money raised from this event will fall into our mission statement. Just to name a couple, help support community-based charities and causes, provide aid/ assistance to families in the county who have an immediate need (for instance our Christmas operation).

With that being said, we will be selling T-shirts again for the ride. All proceeds from the sale of these awesome shirts will go towards The Doddridge County Deputy Sheriff’s Association’s core obectives. So you better get them while you can!! The Deadline to purchase will be September 14th. We have tagged three members of the Association in this post (Kristen Sponaugle, Kristen Bodkin and Tammy Mosser) and all three can get your orders processed. We will accept all forms of payment from PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Facebook, ApplePay and good ole fashioned Cash !

Wow ! What a hot day spent playing some ball ! First off, thank you to all our DCDSA memebers for the help ! Without good workers we would not be able to pull off such an event. Weather made today unbearable but y’all hung in there and we got It done!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our Umps ! We was only able to secure two and boy were they troopers. No complaints at all and got the job done !

Also, thank you to ALL the teams that participated in our tournament ! Sportsmanship was on point which made it a fun filled day of jawing and harassment! Y’all fought off the Horrible temperature and battled hard!

We cant leave out our faithful fans! Y’all hung in there and made it that much better! THANK YOU for helping support our organization!

And last but surely not least our vendors! Papa’s Belly and Mother Cluckers! We didn’t have the turn out we hoped for but they hung in there all day and provided some delicious food ! If you’ve never had their food then you wrong ! Thank you both !!

And finally, Congratulations to the now THREE TIME Champs, The Bulldogs!

Hello Everyone !!!! It’s DCDSA Softball Tournament Eve !!!! Big day tomorrow filled with food, fun and family !!! Make sure to come out to the Doddridge County Softball/Baseball Fields for our 3rd Annual Softball Tournament!

The Gates open at 930a. There will be a member stationed in the road at the entrance to the softball field to collect the entry fee for spectators only. Team fees will be collcted differently.. Don’t sweat it though, entry fee is DONATIONS ONLY. There is no set entry fee so give what you can give. Games start on both fields at 1000.

Field 1 will be the softball field and the first game is between LawDogs and Trentnators.
Field 2 will be the Baseball Field and the first game is Glove Handles and Riley Currans Team.
The location of games after this will be posted on a very large bracket at each concession stand. Said bracket will be available to the public so you can track your favorite team’s location and game times.

We have two delicious food trucks that will be on site as well. Papa’s Belly and Mother Cluckers are loaded and ready to go ! So bring an appetite! Both concessions stand will also be providing drinks, chips and candy.

We can’t wait to see everyone there !
