Standing proudly at the corner of Centre and Corey Streets, Theodore Parker Church has been a West Roxbury landmark for over 125 years! Built in 1900 and designed by local architect Henry M. Seaver, the historic church is named after Theodore Parker, a prominent abolitionist and advocate for social reform who served as the congregation’s minister from 1837 to 1846.

Fun fact: The church is home to beautiful stained-glass windows created by the famous Tiffany Studios! It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

Throwback Thursday! Built in 1898, the historic Engine 30/Ladder 25 firehouse has been a cornerstone of West Roxbury for more than 125 years. Located on Centre Street, this beautiful Romanesque building is more than just a historic landmark, it remains an active fire station, proudly serving and protecting West Roxbury and neighboring communities every day.
