ScrubaDub of Roslinale is doing a fundraiser for Rose's Bounty Saturday through Monday (August 15th–17th). How it works: Customers who bring canned goods OR make a $5 donation will get their best wax — the Ultrashine — applied free. Everything collected goes to Rose's Bounty. Carl Howell will become the Greater Boston Food Bank's president and CEO on October 1. He will step into the role held by Catherine D’Amato, the food bank’s leader for 30 years, who announced her retirement in January.

The Greater Boston Food Bank has named its new CEO as demand for food assistance surges amid rising hunger in Massachusetts.

Summer is for vacations. However, unfortunately, folks still need to feed their families! Many of our regular volunteers take time off during the summer. If you can help, we would appreciate it. There is always a lot to do at Rose's Bounty! (We do have AC)

Just show up. Anyone can tell you how to help out.

Thursday, July 23
8:30 AM: Set up tables, boxes, bags, and other supplies to prepare for packing.
9:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Homebound Neighbor Pack and Deliver
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Chittick School and Refugee in-Person Food Pantry
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Afternoon food truck and pack produce for the Big Veteran's pack

Friday, July 24
7:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Veteran-only Food Pantry and Pack and Deliver to Homebound Veterans

This is our Big Veteran Pack, in which we pack and deliver to our disabled Veterans, and we host our regular Friday in-person Veterans- only Food Pantry! It’s a busy and rewarding day!
